i need a general jist of what screen resolution people run these days so i can assign them to any new wallpapers, to which i have two simple but effective designs planned out.

if you can give some feedback it would be perfect.

Thanks.

You know who.

Once LCD monitors went widescreen, the original resolution aspect ratio was 16:10, hence most larger monitors were 1680x1050 or 1920x1200 (like Tinker's Samsung)

However with increased popularity of 16:9 aspect ratio HDTVs the last few years and most of them being 1080p instead of 720p, display manufacturers have decided to go 1920x1080 for computer monitors too

I am not too happy about it as even the larger 27" monitors are now 1080p, which is basically like a small HDTV. If I wanted 1080p I would get a 24" - if I got a 27" I would want more pixels stuffed in there, not just larger pixels. <_<
