Hey guys, I just got the game, but I can't play missions or select my squad without the game crashing. For those who might be able to help, here's a look at ike.log and ikecrash.log (Additional note: I'm using Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit but I'm running the game in compatibility mode for Windows XP (Service Pack 2)):

ike:

I would suggest reinstalling the game. If it still crashes, get the 1.35 and 1.4 patches.

I don't have Desert Siege or Island Thunder, can I still skip past the 1.1 and 1.2 patches?

Yes, just install 1.3 and 1.4. Once you've done that, you can install DS and IT later if you want.

Since I'm a dummy, what should I know about how to download the patches before I download them?

You should get DS and IT, they were only 5 dollars a piece when I got them. A lot of mods require DS and IT to use them, so if you want mods, you'll probably need Desert Siege and Island Thunder.
