Hopefully by then Sony will have learned from their mistakes and implemented sufficient securoty measure to prevent the hacks. Otherwise the could stand to loose a lot of customers. dporter Posted June 19, 2011 Share Posted June 19, 2011 I read a while back they work on a 10 year refresh, when was the PS3 originally released? People confuse life span of a console with the time in between releases. Sony said that the PS3 would have a ten year lifespan. When the ps4 releases it will not end the lifespan of the ps3. People will continue to buy it. This means that if this releases in 2014 it will have been 7-8 years after the ps3 release.
