I just installed and played Lords of the Realm 2 on my laptop.

It's a great classic game. It combines turn based economic management with real time combat in a medieval setting. I usually just autoresolve the real time combat since I like the slower turn based part more. The interesting thing about the economy is that you have to manage food production as well as production of raw materials and weapons. If you don't make enough food, your people starve and get sick. When you raise armies, the happiness level of the county goes down based on how many people you are "conscripting" for service. The AI players are fairly enjoyable just because they have unique personalities. I always enjoyed building small raiding armies and then sending them to burn and pillage the "Knight" AI player. Then he would get really mad and send me death threats.

Anyone ever play this game?
