Bad news (or could that be good news?) for fans of the hit TV show Heroes

Quote

“The rights to the ‘Heroes’ video game have reverted back to NBC Universal. Ubisoft will no longer produce a video game based on the TV series.”

you can read the MTV Multiplayer article here > Ubisoft Drops Plans For ‘Heroes’ Game

and for a refresh, last years announcement of the deal can be found here > Ubisoft inks deal for 'Heroes' video game

Quote

Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot actively began pursuing the ”Heroes” license last fall, shortly after watching the show’s first episode in Paris via iTunes. “Besides being one of my favorite shows on TV, ’Heroes’ is the perfect fit for a video game with all the various superpowers and special abilities,” he said.

Yeah, TV & Movie based games tend to be crappy.

After the show lost half its viewers this is no surprise. No more money to be made there and maybe by the time they would finish it Heroes wouldn't be around anymore.
I must say I would really love Ubisoft to pump money into it and shortly before the release the show is being axed. :D

Still, this is not the first game Ubi has pulled the plug on.

Nor will it be the last, it's simply part of the business.

I guess it's a shame to anyone anticipating this game... But seriously, was anyone anticipating this game? This is one of the first times in a while i haven't been disappointed a big name cancelled a game.
