Going shopping after games have been out for a while is a blast.

Rainbow Six: Vegas 18$
Bioshock: 18$
Need for speed: Pro Street 8$

3 Games for the price of one new release with guaranteed max settings. This makes me very happy :D

Sweet...I saw UT3 $19 at local Target...where did u find urs?

I'm not big on scary stuff and unlocking doors or side missions, i.e DOOM, F.E.A.R., GTAIV/SanAndreas...will BIOSHOCK fit that bill?

I've read good things about it...but I'm more FPS-military...I don't have the patience for ArMa/OPF....do you still recommend BIOSHOCK for me?

thanks man.

Fail man, no joy ... <_<

Is Pro street any good?. I've been a fan of most of the NFS series games.. The Pro street demo didn't really have it for me though..

You know what makes me really sad though.

Looking at those 3 games on my shelf, paid for full retail, and only had time to barely scratch the surface of their gameplay - and now they are heading to the bargain section :wall:

Vegas is over a year old now if memory serves me right. V2 is a different story.

I guess this is now gonna be the norm for such rapid releases of sequels of cookie cutter franchises.

Bioshock is the oddity. I don't know of or haven't heard of a sequel for it yet.

 Plus it sure saves a lot of money. Was looking for something else the other day at a local Odd Lots and just thought I might as well look and see if thay had any cheap PC games in the media junk pile. Lucky for me they just happened to have 1 copy of Painkiller Gold for $4.99. :D They also had 1 copy of Brothers In Arms Road To Hill 30 for $4.99 but I already had it.

BioShock is systemshock 2 underwater basically. it can be tedious at times trying to find equipment/gear and killing enemies. Has excellent enviroment though. Im only at the part where the crazed DR obssessed on plastic surgery started mutilating womens faces. Its good stuff.

Prostreet has some merit, the racing is all close circuit roadways or tracks. Kind of lets you down at times for it being a NFS game. Still fun to mess around in though and modify a car or two. I will honestly say wait untill it is 5$ lol.

Vegas was what I was expecting, just a fun time shooting retarded enemies on a linear playing field. Its a shame they actually call it rainbow six but nonetheless it is in the mix for a tomclancy game somewhere between SC and R6 3

oh BTW whiteknight, Bioshock sequel is in the works from what I have read. Funny thing is I was about to buy bioshock last month for 40$ but borrowed a copy from a friend. unmentionable atrocities i was about to commit seemed like a pain so I uninstalled it and forgot about it. But the game IMO is worth more to me then COD4 is. I don't mind tossing Irrational and 2k some money for developing a bad ass game like it.

Has been anounced by Take 2 in March, a release is being planned for late 2009.
So far it is not known whether it will be a sequel or a prequel.

Yeah, I hate that... Happened with STALKER for me (Good game, but I paid 40$ and it didnt run well halfway through the game so I stopped.. now its 10$ or 20$).

On Amazon the other day there were both Vegas and Vegas 2 each for 20$.

I heard of a sequel for Bioshock, I thought it was a pretty cool game myself but still just a bit too linear. But its still better than the other games that have been coming out lately.

I cant wait for Need For Speed: Undercover, they are bringing back the mode where you can be a cop and chase people (like in the real NFS games before they started trying to appeal to ricers).

I usually wait until the games for down to 20 or 30 dollars before I buy them, just because they arent new doesent make them bad games.

This is another good reason for PC games to have demos. A lot of companies have been skimping out on the demo's these days. Partly you need a demo to see if you'll "enjoy" the game on run-able settings or even play-able settings. The other half of that being, do you enjoy the gameplay. Games can either take so much time or be too expensive to throw away on something you won't finish. I always wanted to try Stalker and I think it will run ok on my system, but the lack of demo made me not buy it at all.

These days there are very few games I will buy without a demo even on xbox. The worst part is waiting for xbox live to make them available to "silver" members. The demos are usually super crappy compared to yesteryear but at least they give you a good taste.

Reduced price games are great, but I still don't want to buy them and have them sit there unfinished. I bought PoP 2 Thrones two summers ago and still have yet to finish it.

Yeah, some games you get halfway through and then... gathers dust on a shelf. I think you're right, I dont see many demos anymore. I still buy some games but I'd rather try the demo first so I think I might like it and maybe it will run fine.
