Weapon Motion Types?

Can anyone give a brief description of what the various motion types do? I thought it related to scoped view, but as I look through the GUN. files it seems there is more to it than that. So far I have come across types 0, 1, 2 and 4.

My questions are:

Do the motion types all follow the same geometric progression, i.e. is there no 3, 5 or 7?

What do they do?

What is the highest number possible?

Cheers.

The weapon motion type tells the game which kind of weapon you use. I'm on holiday so I can't tell you exactly what the different numbers mean but if I remember correct it's:

0 = pistol
1 = assault rifle
2 = sniper rifle
3 = bolt action
4 = grenade launcher
5 = rocket launcher
6 = shotgun

Ah, so it does include odd numbers, thanks :thumbsup:

Do these numbers do anything other than the type of reload the weapon uses?

The numbers affect the time for reloading the ammo, number "2" and "3" adds the sniper zoom and the all over cross hair. The number also affects if you have to reload after every single shot (rocket launcher, grenade launcher, shotgun, bolt action) or you can fire till your magazine is empty.

Ah, I've got it now, thanks. I think the first thing I'll do is get rid of the all over cross hairs, cheers :thumbsup:

For deleting the cross hairs you have to edit one of the .rsb files (can't remember which one exactly). You can find an already edited version in the Sniper Cannon mods by thales100.

Thank you. It's the misc.rsb that does it. Cheers for the help :thumbsup:

All mods have to be installed in the C:/.../Ghost Recon/mods (where you can find the folder "origmiss").

Then you must start the game and activate the mod in the "options" menu.
