Can't log into Steam

So Steam is rejecting my login, and although it SAYS it has sent me a password recovery, the email never arrives.

Anyone know how to resolve this?

OK, I've just tested on mine and received the email OK in a few seconds, so their mail servers are up and working (the from email is: noreply@steampowered.com)

one thing I did notice is that if you use the "dont know my account name" (the logon) bit, even if you enter an incorrect email (tried a totally bogus one) it does say it's sent an email to your address (when it clearly cant have done)

maybe check to see if using the right address ? Try checking back through old received emails in case you have a previous one when you originally signed up or last changed something (if you file them)


If you can receive test emails on the email address registered to steam (IE sending yourself one) and it's not in your spam bin Etc or on a blocked list

then you will have to raise a support ticket > Steam Support

*The account you use on the support system is different to your steam one

it does say on the Steam support page that if you don't receive the reclaim email it could be a sign of a hacked account (IE someone's change the email address)

Yeh I have my steam login stored in my pda so I am 99% sure I am using the right one. Still, I did try using another e-mail address and you're right, it says it has sent it just the same, which is pretty poor QA.

I'll use that support link you posted, thanks.

And my steam is ID is not Rocky anymore - it's "Muslinium"??? OMG I really was hijacked.
