Does this need to have a projectile bulit for it as well ?

As to the projectile: it depends where you want to go with this:

If you tag it up the same as the AT weapons and use that projectile it will work like the [GR] rocket launcher (off the top of my head I seem to remember that the AT projectile was just light and smoke FX (I can't remember seeing an actual shell)).

The recent projectiles for other P2 SAMS have just been cinematic FX as there is no facility for shooting down aircraft (with the exception of modded tanks masquerading as helicopters etc in mods like HX5)

So what about wing wipes Phlookian? ;)
A prj would be nice...I have already done a test on Mountain Valley with one of those Harn Blackhawks and having a guy run up behind to shoot it down with a regular AT, I was figuring that the SA18 might replace the AT...the helo then spirals downward out of site right where there is already a Blackhawk crash site...
@ Phlook - I see placable items........ :hi: Opens up a different Obj for air defense related stuff, weapons caches, etc..might stick a placacable one in a house or bunker...... :whistle: then set kit actor? Prep for whatever might come down the road? :)

I never noticed the projectile until by accident I saw it while slowing the speed of a replay.

That's an idea ;)

The problem with the wing wipe is that the jet just screams outta the fog and unloads on you.........

I'll have to have a play with the fog settings for this me thinks :hmm: Maybe you could script a warning for the player to know that death is imminent?

(and for anyone who isn't Mig reading this..............Ya'll have to wait for P2 sucka's :) )

Ok the model is finished and textured, I have also made the rocket that this fire's :yes: But :unsure:
I have not got a glue when it comes to placing helper points and tagging weapons :wall: has anybody got a good tutorial on it ? i have looked in the pinned topics in the weapons moding section but there either about dont cover that part or the links are broken. I would like to learn this for myself as i have another weapon waiting to be exported as well :yes:

Ok i found some weapon export tuts but, :unsure: there more about rifles and hand guns and dont cover AT, also i dont think this is a weapon that would be carried around but foot soldiers, i think it would be deployed from a vehicle or fixed position due to the box of electrical bits that its plugged into for the guidence system.
So the next question is how do you make it a fixed weapon ? :huh:

Also has anybody got any spec's on this ? im guessing its about 1meter long ?

well here is a link that may help, ....according to warfare.ru the launch tube is 1.7m long...the missile is 7.2cm in diameter...the ru site gives flight speed and such...there are a few pics to give an idea of scale to a man...
