I was hoping someone could help me out here. I'm not exactly a Ballistics expert and know very little. For... a project fun I'm using the Gun Ballistics Calculator by Para. I was wondering if someone could provide me with the proper numbers for the 6.8SPC caliber.

Thanks in Advance.

Zak Smith wrote this article. It is the single most comprehensive about the SPC, that I've seen.

He is quite responsive to email if you have any questions not addressed by the article

6.8 pretty much has the recoil of a 5.56 and the punch of a 7.62, best of both worlds really.
If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.

The first pdf has some ballistics for the 6.8SPC plus the 6.5 Grendel and 5.56mm and 7.62mm NATO cartridges. The second pdf is a look at some of the alternatives to the 5.56mm NATO. The last 2 pdf's contain some info on the 6.5x47 Lapua, which out performs all the cartridges mentioned except that it is based on trimmed/necked 7.62mm brass. Which means that it would use the same bolt as the M110 SASS, M11 Mod0, SR25 and only 20 rounds per magazine.
