I didn't see anything like this posted before, and I know some of this stuff won't work with GR:AW, but it might help someone get started with something and eventually work their way into GR:AW.

also I would suggest "sketchup" which can now downloaded free thanks to Google being so nice to us these days and releasing it for nothing!

http://sketchup.google.com/

its extremely easy to use and almost magical ! its mainly for creating architecture tho! :)

just a quick question... say I modeled something in google sketchup, would I be able to send it to someone with 3dmax 7 and have them convert it to the right file in GRAW for me???

It depends on if the Google Sketchup exports into a file format that 3D Max 7 will understand.

If it does export into a format that Max 7 understand, it will most certainly work.

The only way to know is to give it a shot and then let us all know if it does or doesn't work. :)

yes but:

1) remember to give him the material.xml
2) there are a few things to set up (hierarchy linkings, materials, dummies,etc..) and I'm not sure sketchup can handle them all (maybe only materials)

great, just one suggestion from em, color those links to programmes compatible with graw, or compatible with eachother. That would make alot of starting modders happy. :g_withgrin:
