Posted January 12, 2005 Share Posted January 12, 2005 Im nearing completion of the OpFor vehicle pack, and its currently looking at containing: Vehicles done so far : BMP-1 APC BMP-2 APC BMP-2D APC BRDM-2 Armoured Car BRDM-2U (Command variant) Armoured Car BTR-70 APC SA-9 SPAA T-54 MBT T-54 MBT ('Passanger' carrying) T-55 MBT T-72A MBT T-72BM MBT T-95 MBT Zil-157 Truck ZSU-23-4 "Shilka" SPAAA Vehicles in process (near completion) : BTR70 upgraded version APC BRDM-2 "Spandrel" AT-Armoured Car T-90 MBT Zil-157 Truck, with 'Shotgun' Passangers Mil-24 Hind-D Helicopter, 'Attack' version Mil-24 Hind-D Helicopter, 'Troop' version Mil-24 Hind-D Helicopter, 'round' version 'Scud' Ballistic Missile unit Vehicles that are unstarted : BTR80 APC T-80 MBT T-80BM MBT (latest T-80 variant) Hip Transport Helicopter Vehicles that would be nice, but time dependant : Ka-50 "Black Shark" Helicopter UAZ jeep ZSU-35-2 "Tunguska" SPAAA These models are intended for the useage of the Community, to 'spice' up Mods and give extra ideas for hard pressed Scripters etc etc ("so which one of these four BMP's is the Command one then", "Target is the BMP-2D") and to give more depth to the 'realism' (If I see one more OpFor convoy with U.S. made M-35 trucks..... ) As these are to be used (with Credit to me, obviously) by anyone who would like to use them, I have not put a lot of detail in the Textures that come supplied. I believe Modders will wish to re-do there own vehicle skins more in keeping with the 'local terrain', and as such all will come in a very basic texture. In fact, I actively encourage all to re-skin the vehicles to make them unique to there Mod I will update this thread as I finish models (with pics proably), so please feel free to ask questions. Posted January 12, 2005 Author Share Posted January 12, 2005 @Jay316 : why not, it only time, sweat and effort @rcrph : I will also be releasing an Allied Vehicle Pack as well, which I have about 10 different Hummer variants in (all can carry 4 min ) and most are armed as well. The LAV/Stryker and Bradley are the big ones still to do on that one - just finished a Cobra for it, looks good to me Finished off the "Spandrel" BRDM, T-72B and almost finished the T-80BV at the mo. And I seem to have found a "desired" vehicle in the Mi-8, so will get onto that next - and that will be the last big model before release, so maybe a couple of weeks for release ???? Also due to Jay316, I have a much better Hind texture and although it needs a little tweaking, the Model of the Hind looks really impressive now ! Posted January 17, 2005 Author Share Posted January 17, 2005 @ Suicide Commando: yes, it carrys 24 Troops, just like the real thing @ sniper82 : no reason not to, however I havent done lots of internal detail, so will be a boring ride into battle (however the Chinook in the Allied pack...... ) Once go the Mi8 finished, I will do the Mi17 (very little external difference) but will do it as a armed troop carrier version.
