Buehgler_AS
I just got the patch installed. I was surprised/pleased to see that they got this out. I hope it resolves the issues ATI users had been seeing (most I know had to "work around" the 4GB issue by rebooting with a chunk of RAM disabled/ignored. =warcloud=
Just trying to play through ArmA again on vista x64, fresh ArmA 505 games version installed today, patched the game according to the official site, 1_04 to 1_05, 1_05 to 1_08 then patch 1_14. No joy, blank screen, nada, nothing. Tried the 3072 boot trick, no go, tried various other tricks, still no joy, game will not load, blank/black screen. Tried the 1_16 beta patch, no joy, no go on vista 64-bit. Uninstalled ArmA from vista x64, but enjoying the game on xp home.
=warcloud=
I followed the suggestions / advice from bis site in the tech support forum and managed to get arma 1.14 - 1.16beta playing on vista x64, but have had several bsod's shortly after quiting the game back to desktop. Don't quite know why this happens?. Anyone else have this problem / issue?. ArmA seems to run smoother and have better frame rates in vista x64 in comparison to win xp x86. Maybe the blue screen of death is memory (RAM) related? or ArmA is just difficult to work / program in 64-bit environments?.
