  1. I doubt it's a .50 the silencer needed for that would be the size of my arm. almost!
  2. dont feed the troll...'there are no good games for the system yet'... sweeping generalization much? you are welcome to have your opinion, but remember, it's just that, an opinion, and one that millions of gamers appear to disagree with.
  3. bucks, it's a 50 inch TV, the review for the 60 inch version is on cnet at http://reviews.cnet.com/Sony_KDS_R60XBR1/4...7-31481141.html however it uses the same lamp as the 50 inch vers and general consensus is the picture is slightly better on the 50. It's incredible, amazing picture, relatively small footprint for a TV that uses this technology...check it out. price wise it's not cheap, expect to pay 3500+ for it ← i only have 2500$ to spend lol, im sure ur paying extra just for the sony name ← actually if you read the review you'll see it gets rated better than just about any other TV out there, I did months of research before making my decision and it's well worth it IMO, I passed on several LCD and Plasma's that were more expensive to pick this TV up

  5. This thing is amazing...got it a couple of months back, Sony KDS-R50XBR1
  6. true but there are nice localized touches (rank being country specific etc) and I think some kind of international customization for MP would be great, am looking forward to new skins/gear through the marketplace, hope it comes sooner rather than later
  7. strange you seem to think GRAW went back to the 'RB6 style' and that you preferred GR2 over [GR]...if anything, GR2 was the most similar to the rainbow six (xbox) series, [GR] was a slower paced, more tactical game. GRAW on the 360 at least is a nice throwback to the old, slower paced tactical days of [GR], cant speak much for the xbox version though, I would have waited to get the 360 vers. I personally think it's all about how you approach the game, if you run and gun...you'll do it wherever you can, if you like a slower paced game, you'll use that style. I only really play no respawn siege and take a sniper pretty much every round
  8. Is there a lean in single player. I know there is the cover mode. But the controls don't allow you to lean. In multiplayer you press the left button to lean. Switch the camera to the other side with the right button to lean the other way. But in single player the left button is the rules of engagement button. Telling your teamates what to do. Does this mean when we want to lean we have to go on the wall? ← i can tell you the left button is NOT lean in MP, the Dpad is exclusively for crosscom and team commands...you can peek in SP for sure, it's confirmed, but the teamxbox review said you cannot peek in MP, but other reviews/reports contradict this
  9. have been reading conflicting comments about the 'lean' or 'peek' function not being in MP...can anyone confirm this? I read a couple of reviews one of which listed the left bumper as 'engagement mode' and one listed it as 'peek'...what gives?
  10. maybe the guy heard a rumour in the office ,but thats all it is a RUMOUR ← Possible, but the marketing department for GR:AW is in San Francisco NOT San Mateo. ← umm...San Mateo is like 15 minutes from San Francisco...perhaps he lives in SM and works at their office in SF
  11. groovy...thanks for the clarification, sounds like it's kinda based on the original (the glow) but the 'blur' effect hopefully makes it a little tougher to pick targets out, it was a huge giveaway with [GR] on night levels, people stuck out worse than they did during daylight
  12. sounds like the night vision is the same as the original GR (xbox vers) where you could pick out people a mile away due to their green 'glow'
  13. from a gameplay perspective, it sounds like it is whatever you make it. I played GR2 and GR2:SS with a bunch of people who used to play [GR] and GR:IT and we played GR:SS the same way, slow, steady, stealthily etc. If you read the IGN preview they note that 'run and gun' styles (which GR2 got so much flak over) would only get you so far, an organized team that works together is much likelier to have success...sounds perfect to me, and with the customization options that will be made available to us, the 'gameplay' will be whatever you decide it is.
  14. The demo`s normally come out on the DVD and then via live, so if you have a slow connection then the DVD would be the choice. Colin ← wonder if it's a playable demo or just a teaser?
