TOS

I don't think anyone ever heard about that I have a passion in writing, but I have. I'm sorry but things like "italic" isn't working for me, so it might be a bit unorganized hehe. It's just the first part.

Introducion

My name is John Hankson. I'm a journalist at New York times, and began the carriere for small five years ago. I have got acces to one of the most secret special units in the US. Some materials have been censured, others I was in no way supposed to tell, and there are no real names shown. The unit is called TOS, Tactical Operations Squardon. They are composed of international soldiers, but mainly under service of the US governement. Some weapons and vehicles will not be described in the book, but under a name like "truck", "armor", etc, though it's no secret that the TOS is in possesion of some really nasty weapons, that they won't tell the public or there enemies about.

The foundation of TOS

I'm sitting together with the leader of the TOS. We will just call him "9E" or "9Echo". For security reasons he wears head gear so he's face is not visible.

"The TOS was founded in 1964. Under George Bush in 2007 TOS whe're removed from the US SFs. We're reformed in 2012, May the 15. This is contemplated as the official Tactical Operations Squardon birthday."

"Why we're you reformed?"

"I can't tell you the full story, but I can say that we're supposed to do some secret operations in Cuba and Eritrea, but because that these conflicts is no longer excisting, I'm allowed to tell about it. I remember our last operation in Eritrea that was cause in the conflict ended."

"Can you tell some more about the operation?"

"Yes. We we're near the market town Adi Kwala, around the Mereb Wenz crossing, a big river. We had pushed the Eritrean soldiers away from Ethiopia together with NATO and US forces. The last objective was left to us.

Colonel Tesfaye Wolde was the commander of the remaining Eritrean forces, and we're supposed to assinate him to get rid of the last forces.

It was early morning and the sun was burning hot. We're told that he should be arriving to a little depot building by convoy. We're supposed to set up a ambush. The terrain was rolling which gave us a advantage, as it was easier to set up ambushes in suchar arreas, as you normally got height merits.

As team leader I had planned and coordinated the attack very carefully. We we're so lucky to get a map over the area, so that made life a lot more easier. I had parted my squad up in two teams, Alpha and Bravo. Four men in each team. We had got detailed describsions of the convoys goal and which way/road it would take. Cirka in the middle of their path, a place where the terrain moves up as a slope, there was a cluster of rocks, a perfect place to hide. Alpha team, my team, did get under the rocks, while waiting for our targets. I had ordered Bravo to be near us so they easily could give us backup if neccesary.

As the convoy rolled past us, I could note that there we're three vehicles. In front a jeep, then two trucks possible laden with soldiers. Short after I heard one of my soldiers fire a grenade launcher at the jeep. As the bodies bursted from the explosion, another of my soldiers got fired a rocket from his MI36 rocket launcher agaisn't the truck in the back of the convoy. The truck just after the jeep had there drivers seriously wounded as shells from the explosion had hit them. The soldiers moved out of the first truck near the jeep. I remember that they surrendered. After action is of sensitive materials, and therefore I can't tell about it."

Equipment and armor

As told earlier, the TOS got acces to lots of nasty stuff, that can't be mentioned in this book, because of censur. I'm talking with TOS weapon expert, we will just call him "Jim".

"Jim can you tell us about the equipment and armor members of the TOS got acces to and their possibilities?"

"Members of the TOS got acces to all weapons from AK-47s to OICWs, not to name a potion of other guns. The team leader will tell them what keind of armor/equipment they will have to use to the following operation. Headgear and Bodygear will never be of own choice. The nearest you can get to that is if the teamleader says like "Light headgear of choice". Weapons can be of choice sometimes. We have different types of vests, helmets and light headgear, plus alot of other normal millitary stuff."

"If you should describe a normal TOS operative?"

"Well, it's hard to say there's a 'normal' operative. But if I had to, I would probaly describe him with helmet and M842 camo, original danish camo, but modified a bit."
