  1. Hopefully they take out some of the Advanced Warfighter elements and move the franchise back into and around Eastern Europe. Maybe have a mission at or near Chernobyl. Loved what COD4 did there with the atmosphere and environment art. Hiding in the tall grass really made for some great moments in All Ghillied Up. If they'd mix that kind of slower stealthy pacing with classic Ghost Recon I'd be pretty happy. I'd say that would give us a good variety in terms of weather and locals.
  2. It'd be nice to see Redstorm package both Co-op Collections and the weapons pack together for a PS3 DLC release. Pretty much doubt that'll happen though. They seem content with just taking PS3 owners money and leaving them high and dry with no game updates, new weapons, or the co-op collections found on 360.
  3. The January 2008 issue of OXM mentions the next Ghost Recon game in their rumour section. So take this with a grain of salt. This is second hand information since I don't have the issue myself. "Next Ghost Recon game is atleast a couple years away and won't carry the Advanced Warfighter moniker and won't feature and urban setting." The issues also talks a lot about the new Rainbow Six and rumours some major changes for Splinter Cell Conviction, so I'm thinking this may have some legs since they obviously went to Ubisoft to see the new RS and must have picked up some nuggets on the other Clancy franchises.
  4. Rainbow Six Vegas 2 was just announced today, so it seems like that Prize Pack leak was legit. Which means GRAW3 is probably on it's way next year too. I really do hope it's a more traditional Ghost Recon game and not the advanced warfighter stuff. It's run it course, no need for a third in that style.
  5. Weren't the new Ghost Recon and Rainbow Six games leaked in that Ubisoft contest a few months ago? Before they were edited out of it. I'm sure a new Ghost Recon is coming, but I'd prefer to see it shift back to the style of the first game in terms of multiple soldier and squad control, more open environments, no advanced warfighter stuff, multiple objectives and bonus objectives that you can tackle in any order you chose, mission planning and recon, more tactical gameplay, etc. Same goes for the area of conflict. The part of the world that the first Ghost Recon took place in (Eastern Europe, etc) is far more interesting to me. It allows for winter maps, forests, rain, etc. A lot more variety imo. Agreed with the online single player campaign being co-op as well. If they could somehow manage six player online co-op, basically two squads of three, that would be pretty special. The multiplayer styled co-op is still really fun too, so all of that good stuff would have to stay. The entire online system needs to be fleshed out more, and possibly add in a Halo styled matchmaking and party system on top of the normal way of finding games. I've heard too many stories of poor new players being booted from GRAW and GRAW2 matches just because of their low rank, which hurts the overall community.
  6. Sounds great. Are these maps and missions going to be only available for the 360 version, or will they also release on the PS3? Knowing Ubi, I'm guessing 360 only. :|
  7. Just got the PS3 version of the game a few days ago. Seems like a good port, but the aliasing is really bad in this version and the performance of some multiplayer maps leaves a little to be desired. Also had a bunch of online issues, be it getting into a game, basic online performance, or just the game kicking me out and logging me off the PlayStation Network. It's definantly the game since I play Warhawk and Resistance online with no problems. A much needed patch could fix up the aliasing issues atleast and some performance problems. Hopefully Ubisoft has another map pack of two in the future for the PS3 version. It'd be nice to get the rest of the missing original GRAW maps/co-op chapters on the PS3 version and a few more remade classics.
  8. Hate to say it, but if this would happen it'd probably end up either being a port from the really awful PS2 sku of the first GRAW, or a really bad PSP port. Or potentially a remix of the Xbox versions of Ghost Recon 2 and Summit Strike like Brothers In Arms: Double Time. I say don't bother, just focus on the 360/PS3 Ghost Recon game coming out next year and downloadble content for GRAW2. They may have gotten this mixed up with Sega's lightgun shooter "Ghost Squad"?
  9. When all the players get killed? Are you playing splitscreen with friends, or just offline against the computer? You can adjust the options and settings to allow for multiple respawns.
