  1. I'm sure we'll be on for a while. And we can always make special arrangements for you You'll get the same as everyone else though; a 9 bullet facial!
  2. So here we are. A few months after our intended ship date for the Co-op Collection Pack. I know that two or three of you out there (ok, way more than that) were a bit frustrated with the whole process. What better way to ease those frustrations than killing a few Devs? (In the game of course!) Want to sneak up behind camping fool Geridak and plant a claymore at his feet and then watch him explode? Can't wait to roll a grenade to Braybot while he writhes on the ground gutshot? Mad at Live Kimi who didn't always have news to offer you while you were waiting? Put a bullet in her head! It's on! Friday night the Devs will be on Live taking bullets from the fans around 7pm eastern until we get tired of getting shot at. Just send a friend invite to UbisoftDev1 or UbisoftDev2 and we'l invite you to matches as spots open up. And just because we are celebrating the release of the Co-op Collection Pack we'll be running a few co-op scenarios as well. Thank you very much for your patience over the past few months. We look forward to seeing you online. Please Note: All violence should be contained in the friendly confines of GRAW 2, otherwise this post starts to sound creepy
  3. I don't ever remember you wiping the floor with me. Ok ok, maybe on a Halo map
  4. So I’ve been reading the forums and I noticed that there’s been a little bit of discussion as to where the Co-op Collection is. Ok, a LOT of discussion. We’d like to apologize for both the general lack of communication and the fact that the Co-op collection has not been released yet. Generally I try not to comment on release date type of things because so often, as you all know, things can change at the last moment and I hate building up hopes and then having to let people down. This leads to a lack of communication, in some instances, while we scramble on our side trying to get the content out to you. As for the Co-op Collection…it is on the way. I know the timing is obviously not what we wanted, but we’re one of the first games to get achievements in our DLC. I know a handful of other games have done this, but it was a first for our studio and as a result some issues came up very late in the process and the release date had to shift. We will let you know as soon as we have a solid release date.
  5. So we thought we’d get you guys another movie of the upcoming GRAW2: Co-op collection for the weekend. This movie takes a tour through RR Bridge, Prison, and Battlefield. For those out there who might not remember these maps or have maybe never played them (both of you) here’s a quick reminder of what you’ll find. RR Bridge This classic map has received more than just a graphical face-lift. Run down the main road for quick access to the enemy’s base, but watch out for players that have taken position on the RR Bridge to snipe from. The rocky northeast could have an opponent on the other side of any of the large rock formations while the wooden southwest features a rail station that ensures some brutal CQB between the buildings and railcars. Prison Just because it’s a prison doesn’t mean you have to feel confined. Areas on the north and south provide quick access to the other team’s base, but the open and long sight lines for these paths mean you have to move tactically and use what cover is available. In the center, the demolished prison buildings make for great CQB while also providing many outlets for which to sneak up on your enemies. Just be sure to watch your back as overhangs here give snipers more than one way to “send you to the gallows.†Battlefield The battle never ends on Battlefield – the classic rain-soaked, blown-out, dark and muddy map from the [Ghost Recon]. The destroyed village in the middle of the map provides good CQB scenarios while snipers are able to take position from the many hills on the side, but the amount of cover means that snipers have to be fast and precise else they lose their targets in the rain, fog, or any of the ruined buildings. Pat Benatar said that love is battlefield. Well little love can be found here in this rain-soaked, muddy and dark map. Yeah, +1 for the Pat Benatar reference : ) Hope you enjoy it. More still to come…
  6. Yeah, there is a bit of work that goes into making them. For a new map, from scratch, it will generally take a month or more to design out and prototype a play space. After that it could take multiple artists 4 months or more to come up with the final version. Now if we have pre-designed layouts, like old GR maps, that poses a different type of challenge as we have to look at play balance and zone placement with the new systems and gametypes. As you guys all know, things have changed a bit from GR1; character movement speeds, camera placement, weapons, etc. So all of these changes have to be accounted for to make sure the map provides the intended gameplay.
  7. Hey all. I thought I’d jump on here and give you the first update on the GRAW 2: Co-op Collection. We wanted to release something to you guys as a thank you for all the support from our very active community, so check out the link below for some movies created by our team showing the GR classics Caves and Swamp Airfield (one of my favorites) and the brand new map Business Park, which is bound to become a classic. For those of you who don’t know already the pack will contain 5 brand new Co-op Missions, 9 new maps (7 GR classics and 2 brand new ones), and 9 new achievements. IGN has some good details here: http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/827/827831p1.html Check out the Clever Retort Achievement. I bet we’ll see more than a few of those in the next Devs VS Fans night. Yes, we’ll be planning another Devs VS Fans game night here very soon; I want a little revenge from our last one : ) We’ve got a bunch of people here ready to rock and I’m thinking we’re going to be pretty dominant on Swamp Airfield and Business Park. Practice up…we are : ) Anyway, I’ll pass on more info as soon as I get it.
  8. Excellent. I deleted my Mom from my friend list to make room for "GRAW2LeadDesign". I sure hope you appreciate it. Deleted your mom!?!?!??!?! I have an alternative solution to this issue. Maybe make Bray play your mom straight-up in GRAW 2 and the winner gets the spot. You know, just like Thunder Dome, "Two women enter...one woman leave." Sorry, Bray. I joke because I care
  9. I just posted this over in the Ubi forums so I wanted to make sure that you guys got the word as fast as possible. So we just got word that the title update has FINALLY passed through all but the final stages of the submission process. It is planned to be released in the next couple of days, maybe as soon as in the next 24 hours. It's been a long time coming, and we truly appreciate your patience. Here is a list of the fixes: TU2 Details * Fixed Voice communications issue that occurred after player had connected with 30 other players over time * Changed Ranked Rooms so that players may only be Kicked from the Room after playing a match * Changed Ranked Scoring to remove scoring penalty for losing to much lower ranked players * Changed information displayed in Search Results to show Host's Camera Options instead of IFF information * Fixed Player Rank appearing as 1 after playing in player matches * Fixed some problems relating to sending invites and joining sessions not always being available for player matches * Fixed Zone problems on some maps that cause the zones to begin neutral in Territory Games and caused flags not to be able to be captured in Objective games * Fixed Several bad Solo spawn points on Locks * Fixed problem with Helicopters stopping spawning occasionally on Helo Hunt * Fixed issue in Clan Matches where scoring elements might be removed if a client disconnects during loading * Fixed Officer related scoring issue in Team Objective * Fixed problem with Clan invitations not being able to be dismissed in certain circumstances * Changed message relating to duplicate clan invites being sent to be more clear * Fixed problem causing some interactive objectives to not complete properly in Co-Op Campaign Missions * Fixed bug causing connection quality bars to sometimes flicker wildly in custom search list
