  1. For those who don't end up getting picked you can get a code from http://www.gamereactor.dk/nyheder/106151/Spil+Ghost+Recon%3A+FS+nu/ for either ps3 or 360, just create an account and login i got a 360 one from that site so Rocky you can remove me from the contest, thanks and enjoy.
  2. Wow its been a while since I've posted here, i used to make maps and play original gr on pc. Anyways put me in the mix for a key, I'd love to test drive it. Edit... Wow 2003 join date, damn I'm getting old.
  3. EndWar -Directed by Michael de Plater (formerly of Creative Assembly, where he worked on Total War) -Inspired by... Madden -No explicit multiplayer or single-player modes. 1 global campaign map for both game types -Three factions: U.S. Joint Strike Force, European Enforcers, and Russian Spetsnaz -Persistent Risk-like online campaign map. Everyone plays in this single, global campaign. The war ends when one faction conquers the majority of territories and then a new campaign starts. -Each campaign can be different. They give the example that if America is conquered in one campaign, they can start the next campaign "to liberate U.S. soil with a massive new 'D-Day' landing on the East coast." -"[The Battle for Middle-earth II] was a test case for exactly what we didn't want to do" (Referring to them taking a traditional PC RTS and re-mapping the controls" -"The first thing we did was ban any reference to the PC. We were determined to design it from the ground up for console." -Camera is always attached to a unit. The idea is to remove the god-like vision found in RTS games by having a more realistic line of sight. -You can, however, toggle a full battlefield map where you can give your orders. -Voice-command system that can control every aspect of the game -7 unit types: Riflemen, Engineers, Tanks, Transports, Helicopters, Artillery, and Command Vehicles -Limit of 12 units/squads in battle -Unit costs are all equal -No "magic", meaning for something to get to the battlefield it needs to be delivered, etc. -"Everything is destructible" -On units: "It's a battalion that you own. You can personalize it. You can customize it. You can choose its motto and its heraldry. You can change its compositions and abilities. -If your soldiers die, they are gone for good along with their upgrades. If they live they gain experience & medals. -"Nothing in EndWar seems more detailed and obsessed over than the surprisingly varied way soldiers act (and react) on the battlefield." -For example: "Squadrons of heavily armed soldiers, when ordered to a cluster of firebombed cars, will automatically take cover in different ways, periodically taking potshots at the enemy through windows and over hoods. If a soldier gets shot, one of his squad mates will drag him back to safety"
  4. well the latest EGM says that UBI will announce a new game based on the Tom Clancy franchise in their next issue so i would assume this is all apart of the unveiling. now i'm don't know very much about the military but i saw Red Horse in the planet rainbow breakdown and came across this http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/age...f/redhorse.htm so could it be that the news clips are what Red Horse has to respond to? And is this what the objective of the user will be "Their major wartime responsibilities are to provide a highly mobile, rapidly deployable, civil engineering response force that is self-sufficient to perform heavy damage repair required for recovery of critical Air Force facilities and utility systems, and aircraft launch and recovery. In addition, they accomplish engineer support for beddown of weapon systems required to initiate and sustain operations in an austere bare base environment, including remote hostile locations."
  5. FYI a user posted on teamxbox forums that the game does support 16:9 in game (possibly not menu's) and 480p.
  6. it'd be nice if it supported 16:9 and from the most recent screen shots it looks like it might as the screen shots are in both 4:3 and 16:9 w/ black bars mind you (could just be their capture device's configuration). the initial screen shots also were in 16:9 one could assume that they are trying to show us that it is supported. i hate playing in zoom mode though on gr2 as it just makes the graphics look really bad and add to it that my xbox is one of those that displays vertical lines in 480p mode and well 480i just doesn' look very good.
  7. Hey guys thanks for the kind words, i'm still around but haven't been playing much GR though Between work, baseball, and friends i haven't been playing pc games that much or modding for that matter. When i have free time on my computer these days i'm working in Maya on some fight scenes (animation is another hobby of mine). I'm glad you mentioned the flippable tables Chems, they are on my Market map as well and to be honest i don't think anyone knows that they exist except you thanks to Rocky for the heads-up and Chems for the nice review.
