  1. I am in total agreement regarding getting servers back up and running. I think what most everyone should remember is that you don't need a high end "super computer" to run a server. If you have an older system sitting around collecting dust, blow the dust off the thing and fire it up install [GR] on it and invite your friends on-line. I recently set a server back up that our team used. I have made no recent upgrades, simply hooked everything back up to the tower, fired it up, and presto GR server back online. These are the spec on my server: AMD Duron 750 512 Megs Ram 40 Gig HD ATI Raedon 9000 128 Meg Video card The machine is hooked up to a Belkin router with a cable internet connection. I can host about 16 people on it and it only really lags on Boom missions. So come on, fire up those old systems and get some friends together and have a GR online party.
  2. Okay, thanks. I have been away from GR and GR.net for a bit, so I'm playing a bit of catchup.
  3. @ Lightspeed: Have you already got your red beret character? I did some modding awhile back, some of the "old timers" (not a bash at anyone) around here might remember some of my character work (ghillie suits, urban sniper, winter rifleman). Anyway, I already have a character created like that. Mine has a green beret, that could be easily changed to a red/maroon one. I created him as a support specialist. I have him in both woodland and desert camo. I will try to get some screenshots of him up for you to check out. Thanks, =UE=Cush1
  4. Don't worry if you missed it guys. After Friday you will be able to view it online at Frontlines site. Just thought I would give everyone the heads up.
  5. I thought I would share these skins with the Community again. It's been a while since I did any skinning and am thinking about starting up again. Please click the link to check them out. Click Here!
  6. I hail from Michigan City, Indiana. It's about 50 miles east of Chicago located at the southern tip of Lake Michigan.
  7. IIRC they do not do anything. Simply leftover from game development. The texture files (skins) are what designate a characters ethinic background.
  8. @Soup, Thanks for the pictures. Who knows might even inspire some new sig making for you. You know me, once I get started......lol. Anyway thanks Bro. Oh BTW I'm DL'ing now and it says the zipped file size is 610 megs . Just thought I would give everyone the "heads up" on the large file size. Although maybe my PC at the office is just screwing with my head. -Cush

Here is my image for entry: Thanks.
  10. Just bumping this up hoping the someone can shed some light on my previous post.
  11. Ok, I DL'ed the file from the previously posted link and installed it. I followed the readme file and removed the old files as instructed. Although the file I DL'ed states it contains a patch the correct the cinamatics issue on dedicated servers my server is continuing to crash when I attempt to run a mission. I am at a total loss as to the problem so I have included my Ike log as well as the IkeCrash log. Hopefully someone in the community can tell me what is happening with these missions. Ike Log: IkeCrash Log: Thanks for any help in advance. Cush
  12. Thanks for the feedback on this issue. All the comments were very helpful. Thanks again, Cush
  13. I have recently installed FNG Maps v5 on my Dedi server and they are consistantly crashing it. I was wondering if anyone else has run into this issue, and if so how did you resolve it. I was wondering if it could be the cinamatic intro's not being able to be displayed from the Dedi. My reason for this thought is due to one of our members hosting the same maps on his machine and it running them just fine. Any help resolving this issue would be great. Thanks, Cush
  14. Thanks for the information guys. Both of you have been a big help.
