  1. lol...I remember last year when you had live video up for days before anyone else had the game. Ha....my turn buddy! Only I have no video for ya. Wish I did..... yeah i totally agree brain, the maps really stand out as i would say some of the best GR maps to date. i have been playing the game since GR1 on pc and i am really really happy with the maps. they felt natural and most of all they are big. and the few that are small, are still broken up in a way that makes them feel much better than maps like boneyard etc. NICE job RSE i am also glad that recon was fixed so that after you recon a zone undetected the enemies still patrol it instead of in Graw where they would stop patrolling it and group up at the next recon zone. i am very happy nice job RSE.   2. yeah its great that some are having no problem with hosting. and not to get off topic as the thread is about the speed of the game. but the issue persists and is all over many of the boards from ign, to gamespot etc. holding 16 in general (and yes i said generally, not all the time) has been a problem. it seems as if you get above 14 the game starts falling apart. that is something i dont particularly care about as i think these maps are made for about 8 to 10 players playing tactically (not run and gun). But when a demo cant hold a few players and it is a persistent problem for alot of people i would hope it gets looked at before release in some sort of patch scenario.
  3. yeah running is insane. and i love how they run so fast but their rifle never drops from headshot status. lol anyways i made a thread earlier regarding the ability (STILL) to fire .50 cal rifles in a full run standing up and get head shots. insane. just give me a plasma grenade and a gravity gun since that is about the same level of realism. errr... also the drop outs are terrible. hopefully this is because of a rushed demo no one i know can host a 4 player room without someone dropping out or losing sound. never had the problem before. in addition what genius decided 10 min was the max for the demo when i see crap like that i always suspect that someone is trying to keep us from noticing something in the game. like maybe for instance you cant keep a connection to the host for more than 10 min. please i hope this is not the case in the final game. Myself and another host have been able to hold 12 - 16 people in rooms. Once we got to about 12 in a couple of cases we had comms issues and some drops. well thats reassuring , it could be something with us. however we have no probs with any other games. hmmm not sure, and as far as people saying 10 min. is fine. makes no sense. people are complaining the running is too fast yet the demo last 10 min. thanks to the ability to run like the wing it is possible to beat the mission in 10 min. but if you like to play slower with no drone, and giving orders like alot of players do then 10 min. dont cut it. it just makes it annoying.

  5. well first off the demo looks and feels great. i love the added balance put into LMG's thanks. but one of my biggest complaints still persists. Getting headshots with a .50 cal in full sprint standing up. Why cant these monsters be limited to prone or at least kneeling to be able to fire the weapon. Maybe i am completely wrong, but an M107 being fired standing up in a run??? might as well give them plasma grenades and warthogs. ) oh well everything else is nice. and the outpost map is really really beautiful reminded me of the old ghostrecon maps. which is a good thing.

  7. So this has been discussed on various forums , but i am curious if anything official has been mentioned on explosives. C4 , or please please give us claymores. I would love these in mp because me and my team are always able to set up decent ambushes on others, but doing it with a series of claymores would be so much better. Christian?????/ any word. ???
  8. heh. well i didnt mean to start anything. just my views. i dont expect and it is quite obvious that not everyone agrees with my views. i personally feel wingshot brings up some good points. i sincerely hope 15 dollars doesnt become the norm, and while i feel that people buying this DLC MAY encourage publishers to use that 15 dollar pricepoint in future marketplace items, i actually feel the marketplace items were a bit off price wise from the begining. 150 POINTS for 3 jpegs for my 360 background? all that stuff should be free. i really just didnt agree with naming the thread what it was named. there are different viewpoints on the issue of price and value. For example my viewpoint on value is a lot different than some of my friends. I will buy a game to try it out, my friends will rent it first. I am not a bad consumer nor do i LIKE making risky purchasing decisions but by in large i research a product to know at least by a large margin that i will like it or not before i buy it. there are enough game related sites out there to make the decision. But still that may be considered a bad value in terms of risk.
  9. while i feel like this is all a constructive argument, and in very very general terms i agree that i hope high cost DLC packages dont become the norm. I will have to say that at the end of the day , it comes down to one thing and one thing only. YOU DONT HAVE TO BUY THE DLC. its sorta like if you bought a car and then starting tricking it out. Addons for cars are and can be very expensive, but you are not forced to buy addons, it is a consumer decision. When you go to the movies, you are not forced to buy the insanely priced concessions. It is a choice. you may not like it, ....hell i dont like it. but thats what they priced it at. I think my whole view from this comes from the title of this thread. " Dont buy the DLC" first off, i dont need someone to tell me not to buy something. if i buy it and get screwed that my own fault. Personally i could say the same thing to someone who spends 30,000 dollars in addons for a honda civic, but i dont because it is their choice. No matter how stupid it is.
  10. cool thanks Christian, the rocks werent a huge deal to me , as they didnt affect gameplay. when i walked through them the first time, i remembered that scene in indiana jones and the last crusade where he had to walk accross the invisible bridge "the leap of faith" lol. kinda felt like that when a friend said, "just try walking through them" lol anyways thanks for looking into it. i have found that after i downloaded the DLC and auto updated the game, that when i try to go to the dashboard from graw, 75 percent of the time, the screen goes black as if its going to the dashboard, but then it just stays black. i have to restart my xbox to get back to dashboard. i have ran into a few other people with this problem and it happens on no other games , nor did it happen before the auto update to graw was installed. any idea what this may be. and is there a fix in the works. etc. thanks. Lovin the new maps. you guys keep delivering maps like this and graw wont leave my 360. all 4 new maps are great and the relit maps are a big change tactically from their old counterparts.
  11. exactly, if anyone thinks that the relit maps are nothing more than cosmetic changes you might as well put run-n-gunner in your sig. The fact is the relit maps change the gameplay SIGNIFICANTLY if you play the game tactically. If you dont agree, i can rest assured you are a run and gunner. The relit maps offer a completely different play experience. Also no one has said this but the improvement to the enemy AI is noticeble and very much appreciated. I would have paid a lil bit of money just for that improvement alone.
  12. definitely the best maps for graw now. i love the open freeform maps. i agree with ya john,..... for everyone complaining about your 360, dlc, graw and whatever else out there, please give your game system and games to a local childrens home or orphanage. If you cant afford an OPTIONAL 15 dollars DLC then your cant afford the nex gen of games. they will be getting expensive this gen. Go give your system away and read some books. i understand and appreciate contructive comments regarding price and what not. but people are making it out like the dlc was a months rent and that they were forced to buy it.

  14. yeah, we get problems starting at 10 players. 12 players is a rare treat. 16, i have never been in a 16 player room that didnt drop players
  15. well, i personally wish they kept your rank number unseen by people and just your game stats available for people to see. i think the devs. think it inspires competition, but infact it just seperates the arrogant people who are proud of a number from the people wanting to just enjoy the game both winning and losing. i hope devs start rethinking this policy.
