Since they hit the million dollar mark, some of the projects will even be open sourcing their code. Now that doesn't mean that you can just download the game though, I think all the art assets and other things are still theirs.

Would you believe it? Something that is available for a single penny, is available on torrent sites.

This humble bundle highlights a few things though.

1. Honest paying customers are always going to pay. These are really your largest audience. They do not go away, until, they have no stable internet.

2. Pirates are always going to pirate for whatever reason. Until the boats go down, any kind of DRM just delays them. My Nephew told me tonight he had to go with the crack for SC, because they only have 56k connection. There`s 3 of them, all have a shelf full of different games they buy. Now his mate showed him on another PC were to get the cracks, and how easy it is to just download stuff. Gave him a small brief about it in general, but what else can anoyone like that do?

3. The amount raised so far does indicate revenue, readily available, on the Internet.

Plus the fact that there's a market for Mac and Linux gaming. People in these communities are willing to spend more for games because there is less of a supply of games in these niche areas.
