Papa6
To:RSE/UBISOFT/Serellan I'm not so mad about the game GR2 not coming out as I am with you sticking it to us by hyping up GR2 and all that, not giving a real release date for the game, then pulling the plug. Why is it that the console market seems to get you so hot and bothered, is it the $$ ? You have, or had, depending on what some choose here, You had a very large loyal customer Base, which you so adaptly pulled the rug out from under us. Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I think I remember that Serellan was a modder like some of us and you enjoyed snapping him up for your use. The gaming industry is a hard one and getting great devs is probably like finding a 4 leafed clover. difficult. But just realize please, even though I've had some harsh things to say to you, YOU should remember why your Ghost Recon franchise became so successful. US, the PC gamers. We have waited for the better part of 4 to 5 years for a sequel for a game that still beats out the newly released GR2. the way to make money is to "cater" or better word for it, look out for the ones who put you where you are with regards to GR. Don't try to reinvent the wheel. For the new games content, find out what made GR hot then build upon that. most of the people I've played with have a military or police officer background and the tactical setup for GR was right on target for the most part. updating the Game engine is a gimme, as pc's improve, but with AMD 64's and dual core processors coming out, they should offer ample opportunity allow for better maps and game content. in closing, Just don't forget that the PC crowd has proven again, according to the fact that GR2 sales i understand are low, that we are in fact where the money is at. PEACE OUT!

nightdrop
Well, this is my first post. I've been away from the gaming thing for a while but I was an original GR owner (as well as the three follow up expansion packs). I remember when GR first came there were a lot of user issues and many of the forums were dissatisfied with Ubi's support. I had to hound them to help me with an issue to no avail ( it turned out to be a very simple video setting). I found their interest in helping users was not the utmost. As a result I was very wary of them. Looking back I think most were config issues and not tied directly to the game but still, users felt a lack of support. Recently, I wanted to get back into the FPS thing so I kept looking for GR2/PC. In an effort to keep myself busy I went out and bought the much hyped "Brother's In Arms" on a whim. Well I soon discovered this is a UBI game as well (although Gearbox developed it). I also discover that the game does not work with my video card and, probably never will. (Shame on me for not checking ahead, it was an impulse buy so that is my fault). When I read the "Brothers In Arms" forums, there are a lot of unhappy BIA users out there as well. The general consensus is that it is too full of bugs at this stage and they feel it was released prematurely. There too, like the early days of GR, users are quite unhappy with UBI's support. I guess my point is, I'm not surprised by all of this but it leads me to believe a) they are in a bit of financial trouble so they are skimping on the development of some things or b) Customers are not their fist priority. Too bad, I guess I'll go get the latest "Call of Duty" update, or reload my old GR discs.

Inc_Doc
You know, now that I've read your post on UBI support I now remember when UBI took over RSI and the game site (I know, that was a looong time ago), as soon as UBI had control I had connection problems. They also made it much more diffacult to find and play with my friends. So looking back at all the problems that started as soon as UBI took over its no wonder they stuck it to us. The warnings were there, we just didnt see them. What Im amazed at is that this company is still in business.

babydave
id go with b) Customers are not their fist priority. they do it over and over again they just wanna get the game out the door at the right time, offer a few measly patches and then run. see: Ghost Recon Raven Shield Far Cry BIA the list continues ££££££ is their first priority, and unless there was something major wrong with the game i.e it wouldnt install then the mainstream customer wont care and neither will anyone us, to them, its just us getting too picky.
