My Custom Camo Thread

Hey guys,

over the past 3 years, I've explored into the wonderful world that is camouflage, Lately however I've been producing camouflage patterns that I'm personally pleased with the performance of, so I thought I'd share them in this thread. This thread will be updated with camouflages whenever I make a new one.

I'll leave these camouflage designs here, you can comment, provide suggestions on better concealment, or even take the camouflage patterns (they're seamless) and use them in your own mods for any game, the demonstrations I use are with none other than Arma 3, as it's lighting and foliage system is the most up to date out of all of the games in my library

If you do use them for anything in particular, please do link me through, I'd love to see the projects! :D

The first is one you've seen before, I hope anyway; Excam, I still haven't got a name for it, but it's pretty much as good as it can be while still maintaining that pattern's paradigm:

Woodland:

This proves surprisingly effective in its designated environment, even concealing with tree trunks and low grass.

Desert:

The Next and most recent one is ALCAM:

alcam___woodland_seamless_pattern_by_zee

it uses a wider, fragmented and more leaflike pattern, which proves effective in high grass and undergrowth.

Prelim tests:

I need to make the pattern's scale smaller, and perhaps slightly darker.

Great job Z i like how they are looking. awesome job and they look great. stellar job!

Question though: With people running lower settings you standout like a whale out of water at a distance. I would see if you can set the patterns to see how concealed they are from 500 yards and detail setting at medium. Because I run ArmA 3 at a lower setting and I usually can see someone coming from half the map because in my settings it clips 90% of the foliage at distance on these settings. I know it is my issue not yours but unless you are just trying to have the guy next to you love how they look. in MP it maybe a different story. I wish I could run A3 at full bore and max settings but I am not willing to sink that kind of money into a system for one game that I actually don't play that much anymore.
