This Mission Campaign is a 15 Mission Pack. The Missions are all Server-Sided and can be used in Multiplayer as long as the Server or Person Serving as the Host has them Loaded or Installed to that copy of "GR". In order to use these Missions SP and MP You would of course have to DL the Mod and then Install the Included .mis Files to Your - "Ghost Recon\Mods\Origmiss\Mission" Folder on either the Server in question - Or - Your own personal PC ( Depending on the Method of Serving ).

Introduction

I Downloaded and Installed the "12Weeks" Mission Pack about 3 Weeks ago and since then I and the Team I am a part of have been having an absolute Great time going through the Missions that RightHand has created for this Campaign. There are 15 Missions in total designated as follows ;

1 - Stolen Secrets.

2 - Airforce None.

3 - Sphere of Influence.

4 - Burning Pegasus.

5 - Killing Fields.

6 - Ambush.

7 - Misery.

9 - Back Door.

10 - Revolving Door.

11 - Pier Pressure.

12 - Last Week.

13 - Red Dragon.

14 - Needle's Eye.

15 - Eagle's Nest.

The Scenario for this Camapign is loosely based on the Premise that Ultra-Nationalist sentiments in Russia have developed into a Full Blown Coup by Hardliners that results in the former Soviet Union making another Grab for Power in the Region. Your Job as the Ghosts is for You and Your Team to stem the Red Tide marching across the Balkans so that larger, more traditional Forces can then Pinch the Russians and Defeat them. These OTHER Forces vary during the Campaign, but are all confined to so-called Coalition Countries.

The Missions ( 25 out of 25 Points )

The Missions are all well put together and I couldn't really see any Scripting Snafus that are worth mentioning ( If any ). The Flow of each Individual Mission gives the Player the Impression that their Achievements are actually prompting the Russians into actions based on their Setbacks because of You and Your Team's efforts. Continuity is key in a Mission Campaign, and the "12Weeks Version 4.0" Missions do that with Flying Colors.

Theres also some scripting of Ingame .wavs that add a Greater degree of Realism as You and Your Team progress through the Campaign. These .wav Files are Originally Included with the Expansion Packs ( "DS" & "IT" ) and It seems as If RightHand has put them to good use in this Mission Mod.

Be wary as You'll need HE ( C4 or M136 / AT4 ) on almost every Mission with the exception of 2 Missions ( IIRC ) which involve Rescuing Package(s) and then escorting the Package(s) safely to Extract. These Missions ( To be Totally Honest ) are of the same Quality ( If not better ) as the Shipped Missions that Originally come with "GR", "DS", & "IT". GJ RightHand, and Cudos go out to the Author for such a Well thought out Mission Campaign.

Conclusion ( 24 out of 25 Points )

rh12weeks03.jpg

These Missions were an absolute ball to play and I hope that RightHand has more Missions in store for Us in the Future. The Continuity of the Campaign was a real Plus for Us as We like a Plot that Our Team can at least follow to a Logical Conclusion. This Mission Campaign accomplishes that with full mention, and I would recommend this Mission Pack to anyone that wants to DL it. That said - You will not be sorry if You do DL this Mod...

Final Score ( 24 + 25 = 49 Points = 98% )

As the Reviewer of this Mission Mod for "GR.net" - I give RightHand's "12Weeks Version 4.0" Mission Mod a 98% Approval Rating. I wholeheartedly recommend this Mission Mod to all Who would Download it. In finishing - A Couple of Issues to mention are ;

1. Extract the Mod's Zip File Contents to a Temp. Folder, and then Drag and Drop the various .mis Files into Your "Ghost Recon\Mods\Origmiss\Mission" Folder. This will prevent any Errors when Installing these Missions to Your Installation of "GR".

2. There are a 2 Gramatical Errors in the Briefings ( 1 Error is a Mission Listed Objective that is designated as Motol Pool ) but these are easily overlooked as the Gramatical Errors are small and easily understandable even with the above mentioned Mispellings in those 2 instances.

3. In some of the Missions You may see Blacked-out Figures or Vehicles. BE WARNED that these Blacked-out Objects are Enemy that have not Yet Spawned onto the Map. Shooting these Objects before they've had a chance to Spawn onto the Map will result in that Mission Crashing. Simply note their Location and then move on, wary of the Fact that at some time You'll have Enemy Incoming from the position where You saw the Blacked-out Objects.

With that said, All in all - A Great Mission Mod...

Again - A Big TY goes out to RightHand and His Team for Producing such a Quality Mission Pack. GJ...

Well - I'm 56K and I had not a Problem to mention at all with Lag. The Missions Load just as well as the Originally Installed Missions which come with "GR", "DS", and "IT".

Additionally - No other Members of My Team experienced any Lag when conducting NetOPs on the "12Weeks" Missions.

Sincerely,

Well I must interject that "12 Weeks" is now one of my FAVORITE mission templates to perform. They not only present a challenge, but competent layout of objectives and enemies.

Thanks for the review Mac, and much thanks to Righthand for modding a superb compilation of missions.

Great mod!

But I really thought every one had solved the "dark ghosts bug"

There were posts written by NGRU crazy and others on the matter and it works perfectly!

Try readin it...It worked for me! :D

 This mission pack is excellent , great , one of the best of all time. Get the picture? :o= If you haven't tried it by now get busy and get with it!

I totally agree. Right-Hands missions are my all time favorites. Wish there were more of these types of difficult, well scripted single player missions around.

:D Totally agree with this review. Righthand's 12-Weeks mod contains some of the best missions that I have played for GR. Missions are extremely fun to play. We have used them extensively at tacticalgamer and not had any problems using them multiplayer. Missions offer a fantastic challenge to all levels of GR players...

If you haven't played this...

GRAB IT NOW!!!! :o=

You should create a new campaign.xml file to be placed inside the mission folder of your 12weeks folder. To make this you have to ways:

1) copy another campaign.xml file from another mod (for example MP1) and then change the names of the mission with the exact names of the files of 12weeks

2) make a new one from scratch using igor. You have to to open Igor, set the mod 12weeks as default mod in file/mods and then going to tools and select campaign file editor.

Take care that even if you can choose the specialist they will not be enabled missing in the scripts the unlock hero response.

;)
