[30+]Darknight

Thank you to everyone that put the time and effort into making this competition happen! All scriptors, all the modders, all the organizers, webmasters, UbiSoft... everyone. Special thanks to Rocky for all of your work keeping everything organized and keeping us all informed of the latest updates. Ghost Recon was the first online PC game I played competitively (with 30 Plus) and it holds a special place with me. I've played many games since then, but none have really captured the true strategic angle that OGR had. I always loved 5v5 ladders and the great stealth tournaments that have taken place over the years with OGR.This tourney was such a nice, nostalgic romp and it has brought me back to PC gaming. I look forward to seeing how GR:FS stacks up and I hope Ubi releases a script program with it (like IGOR) so we can play in a co-op tourney with that game in the future. [30+]Darknight

That last mission was a good one, Rocky. It was very difficult to get a perfect score in the time limit allowed and maintain 'Ghost' status. Every time we started, the squads would change which made it very difficult, but we really enjoyed that aspect. I hope the rest of the missions have that kind of unpredictability. Great tourney! Looking forward to it! Even though the first two were fairly easy, they were still fun! If we only had one shot to go through each one, things would have been a little different, I'm sure. Is there going to be a 'standings' list updated every week so we know how we measure up or will the scores come out at the end? Dark

Thanks for the tips everyone. I finally figured it out. I used an online site that showed me my actual IP and I used that instead of the one that GR was showing me in the multiplayer section. It was reading the router's IP. We were able to link up and run through the first map a few time. Thanks again! Dark

You're right, I am using a router and the IP coming up in game is for the router. I also checked in my system with 'ipconfig' command and it's telling me the same ip. My buddy was getting the same thing, only his IP addy was only one digit off of mine. I've been searching for a solution. If I find something before Rocky does, I'll be sure to post it. Thanks for the help! Dark EDIT: Okay that was quick. I found this topic on the forums --> Multiplayer Solution <-- and it seems to tell me what I need. I changed my router settings according to this post so I'm hoping it will work. As soon as Sinster and I get a chance to play, I'll let you know if it worked or not. Thanks!

This is a really dumb question, but it's been forever since I've actually played [GR] How do I get my partner to connect to my multiplayer game? I clicked Multiplayer- I created a server I set it all up so we can play the map on mission I gave him my IP He types it in but he cannot join. It says 'Connection cannot be found.' Are we missing something? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Dark.

I'm very excited to get started on these missions! It's been such a long time since I played in anything competitive, let alone with GR, that I can't wait to get started! I don't know if it has been said but I wanted to know what the time deadline is for posting our scores on Facebook? It looks like the mission and mod will be released at 10pm EDT tonight, so will we have until this time each Friday to have our scores posted? Thanks! Dark

This one is gonna be dumb... Flame me all you want... but where is the icon to open the editor?? I don't have one any where? I have the tutorial, but no exe file for an editor... please help.

How are you guys checking your frame rates?? Is there a code you punch in during the game or is it something else?? Darknight

Ugh!! I'm going to be out of town for most of next week... Darn the luck. But I'm excited for a sneak peak, even though I'll only have 2 days to play it prior to release. I'm still content knowing that I will have the full version in my grubby paws in just over a week!! Darknight

That is totally wicked! The gun battle after the bank robbery is one of, if not the greatest shoot outs ever filmed. If, for nothing else, the sound quality. I just watched that movie last weekend and it geared me to play some FPS. You guys are definitely on the right track! More movies and sound bites please... [30+]Darknight
