I know a lot of people have issue with 191.07 driver so try 190.62. I uninstall driver from control panel then reboot into safe mode to run drive sweeper 2.05 to remove nvidia display then rather than reboot I run the driver I want in safe mode so during reboot good old OS doesn't load a generic driver. You will get a windows installer error message during install while in safe mode but no worries. The goal is to have nvidia folder extracted to c:/nvidia then reboot normal windows and run driver install again from c:/nvidia. One concern I have is you removed nvidia registry files which could be a problem which is why most suggest using drive sweeper or drive cleaner. Drive sweeper is my preference and it hasn't never removed a bad registry for me so I trust it. Two cards failing on your system to bad you don't have a back card just to see if it's your motherboard since you don't have anyone close to test your gtx 295 card.

I wanted to know if anyone knows how to remove RED tag. I think having the green tag for friendly is all that is required which allows enemy a chance to hide without being seen. I know there are times that I simply point my gun in direction of fire and then like magic a RED name appears if close enough to me even though I didn't really see target. I see people hide in some great grass spots only to be done in by trusty old RED name above their heads. The game has it quirks that is for sure but RED tag seems to be the one that annoys me the most. Any great minds know how to remove dreaded RED marker?

Go download ccleaner then on tools menu on left you will have window on right with uninstall and startup. You should be able to enable programs again that are listed in msconfig that way by enable. You can also review http://www.blackviper.com/ who covers services and what each do in windows XP or Vista.

I purchase GRAW 1 & 2 and Vegas 1 and 2 but didn't give me that loving feeling so I left them alone to play COD series. COD search and destroy is tactical and TDM is smash mouth run and gun so I play both just to stay on my toes. UBI has been one big disappointment but they already know because I'm sure they monitor how popular this site is compared to their own.

RLC family has put up some modded servers in COD 4 just to give game different game play. There is a pistol best of best server which you can only use pistols, primary will just keep reloading and no helicopter rounds will kill you, and no mounted guns with addition of mod maps. It's a server that is fun. There is also a server that has mod maps and extreme mod. If your interested do a search for Best of Best pistol and extreme. I play on all types of servers. I have visited SPARTA a few times and played with ROCKY my ace from ghost recon days. I will see if I can't make it around there. I'm gathering intel because so many have view of what game play should be like for COD4. I myself if it's in the game it's in the game. I have always had that view point but understanding other thoughts respectfully.

I know there are a lot of servers in COD4 but RLC members are looking to see if there is a way to have server alternate between different settings RLC has a server up that offers some cool game play. Server name is Best of the Best RLC. Trying to come up with game style that everyone enjoys rather than just run and gun. Like to know if there is a way to run a server that switches between styles after each map. Can someone point my misguide eyes in right direction.

Glad you got sorted out. Normally you can buy xp with key for $135 which is best way because Microsoft will continue support/activation but not with OEM copies MS usually will point you back to OEM vindor that is MS policy.

I would wait until game is installed to see how it runs on your current system. The cpu, memory and graphic card would make things easier after some game play. I do believe though you would get better performance if you ran your memory in pairs meaning if you have 512 stick pair it with identical 512 stick. The performance of your front side bus would be improved if memory sticks are paired. You should also list your motherboard.

I know there are spoofs of MS but when I saw this I got a laugh. MAC
