Zeealex
It's brought back the start menu, which is fully customizable and scalable, and the operating system now adapts to certain systems, rather than being one interface that works well tablets, but not so well on desktops or laptops. They've named it windows 10 as apparently windows 9 wouldn't do justice. still no word as to whether the rumours of it being a free OS are true or not, but it certainly looks promising... for now. http://www.theregister.co.uk/2014/09/30/microsoft_windows_10/http://www.techradar.com/news/software/operating-systems/10-great-new-features-in-windows-10-1267365 I'm prefering Satya Nadella over Steve Ballmer as CEO, he's much less crazy!
Blame
I was just about to make a Windows 10 Revealed topic, I guess you're faster Seems like it won't come out any time soon and I'd still have to put 80 euros on a new OS.
ApexMods
Wow, they went from 8 straight to 10?!? I have no doubt this means the new Windows is 2(!) better than the old one!!!
ROCO*AFZ*
Loaded it on my tablet... not really good for touch... seems to unfinished like it was a stepping stone to a polished windows 8. Haven't found a use for multiple desktops yet and apps don't seem to like portrait mode...
twcrash
I loaded on this system and s far nothing really new to report. Now I have been using Windows 8.1 so I am used to the new system. I also use Start Menu Reviver for the start menu on 8.1. Should be fine once released. nothing extreme being introduced as far as I can see. Zeealex
so do you think it's likely that this will be a free upgrade for users of windows 8 and 8.1?
Blame
Its probably not only a free upgrade from w8 or w8.1 Edited October 10, 2014 by Blame
twcrash
I agree with Blame. It will be free for upgrade I believe. Also I think MS is going to a yearly subscription service where pay a fee and upgrades come automatically and you no longer install new OSes.
