  1. @yett2000 salamidoc on uplay , skypickle#1228 on discord. I sent u a uplay request. Thanks.
  2. I've gotten into the coop of GRB but find most players dont use comms. A real downer. Anyone here interested in playing a slower, more tactical, stealth, coordinated approach?
  3. game mechanics are good. but what is all this business with appearance customization? anyone here ever been in the rangers? delta? the marines?? u use what you got and make it work. sure you pick the right load out for a specific mission based on briefing but this whole thing of a 'skill tree' that has infected games has become ridiculous. leveling up? what's that all about? if anything, the older you get in the military, the slower you go.
  4. The original GR had this game mechanic where you could jump into any squad member’s persona and handle that position. In addition, you could position each AI individually with tactical directives (go there, then go here, fav this way, be recon, etc) These game mechanics made the AI much more intelligent than they really were (at the time there was no such thing as deep learning and arguably the current AI is dumber). But the whole process of ‘inhabiting’ different players gave a sense of ‘tacticality’ and allowed you to think of different scenarios that could be played out while in game. For example you could start out as the sniper, playing recon and the long game, switch to assault for CQB, and even become that machine gunner (who always seemed to get lost in the weeds if he was left on his own too long). The current squad mates are no match for the AI that the enemy possess but if I had greater granularity in controlling their behavior, they could become a real asset. Imagine being able to set up a kill zone with your squad and then herding or baiting the enemy into it. And why don’t I have a dog yet? I would never go into battle without a dog who could sniff out trails, scent out the enemy or alert me to danger with his spidey tingle. Sound unrealistic? Then you’ve never had a dog.
  5. Since Ubisoft has become a sewer of a dev house without any regard for the tactical first person shooter, I have been playing ARMA. Currently ARMA3 Apex is actually very ghost recon-like. And I mean like the ORIGINAL. The latest innovation is multiplayer coop and they are pushing that mode. Exactly the style that made GR great. I think this site would benefit from becoming "ARMA_RECON.NET". When Wildlands is released (and it is already getting bad reviews) the negative press about GR will not do great things for this site. Has this idea been discussed before?
  6. did you try launching the game in compatibility mode? Right click the exe and select properties. Select the compatibility for windows 7.
  7. so any news on GRAW on gameshare? I could not find it on xfire.

  10. getting an error that crashes the game. I loaded this into the mods folder. Activated it as the only mod. When starting the mission, it allows me to set up the teams (even reminds me to pack demo and rocket launchers). The next step crashes. On a windows 7 pc, the last sound loop continues even after the ghost recon process is terminated. Reboot is required. On wineskin on a mac, the crash is more graceful-it tells me to check wineskin.
  11. Log on to uplay. Go to your GRFS. Try to buy a dlc for GRFS. Get referred to a website that has no dlc. Arma 3 rules.

Since GRAW is a dx9 title, just put the files from the dx9 folder into the main directory of graw. injectFxaa_by_some_dude_10.7z (57.4 KiB, 1570x views) dl here: http://www.forum-3dcenter.org/vbulletin/attachment.php?attachmentid=40459&d=1313272511 thread explaining it is here: http://www.forum-3dcenter.org/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=510658 google translate works well (and automatically if you surf to the site using chrome) the latest version is here: http://www.assembla.com/spaces/fxaa-pp-inject/documents
