1.How does it look when you use OTS and are aiming with a sniper rifle?

2.Can you select your team mates weapons?

3.Is there wounding that affects your movement?

4.Any uber weapons? (GR1- SA80/OICW)

in ots, when you you zoom you switch to FP with sight showing :thumbsup:

team mates kits pre selected per mission requirements.

wounds slow but dont gimp your charicter, just wait till you see a team mate get hit and role around calling for help :D

other cool stuff,

"combat roll" you can roll when prone!!!!

medic feature is great, can only give first aid, gets team mate back in game but less fit, if not treated they bleed out!!!!!!!!!

lip sinc for voice

AI uses 25% of proccessor

air strikes are NOT a scripted event

saw one character climb chest high box to get a good shot

night vision is scripted to be map specific

Having talked to ZA I can answer this one. There are four kits slots...one for your Primary, Secondary and two kit items. However unlike RvS you cannot add attachments to your weapon. Thats what ZA explained to me.

2. Is the NV full screen?

3. Are the tangos static or roaming?

4. Can you as central character have access to any weapon in game?

5. Are there any SMGs as secondaries?

6. What happens if you lose a specialist? Replaced or gone for good?

7. You said there was a command for recce? What does that mean and can you elaborate on the commands?

8. How good was the team AI?

1-sniper is focused

2- at this time nv = full screen

3 - AI has major improvements, expect the unexpected :devil:

4 - it lookes that way!

5 - unknown at this time

6 - the phrase incapacitated rather than dead was used (reincarnation on the cards here)

7- recce sends one man cautiously forward to clear the way ahead, we were given the impression that any action you could carry out your team can carry out for you. they will now kill armour!

8 - looked to be greatly improved :thumbsup:

2) How big where the maps? (Read somewhere they were twice GR1 size?)

From what ZA has told me:

1. He saw some legs sticking through walls. (but this still isn't a final version the game, and most likely will be fixed)

2. The maps he saw at the event seemed to be of similar size to the current maps.

3. No we sent him with a team [GRNET] first aid kit....which included Rocky and Bullwinkle themed bandaides :P

Can I have my version in PC flavor please? I'm going to be sad if it's really just meaning that this quote above to be a slight of hand for the term" a port" of the game to the PC. sorry. that's what I'm getting by that comment...

@ZeroAlpha....what say you according to the fact you played GR2?

Indeed, it's really not like ZA at all to use so many exclamation points at the end of one sentence!!!!!!!! Next he'll be dotting his I's and exclamation points with hearts. :wub:

On the other hand, if ZA is excited about GR2 then it can mean nothing but good things for the rest of us die hard GR fans.

QUESTION FOR ZA: have any changes been made to the use of sniper weapons ala AA or JO to make it more challenging and realistic? (e.g., use of bi-pods, need to zero in scope, weapon ret movement due to breathing)

Looking better and better. I love the 4 kit slots, finally I can have all my favorite tools.

Keep in mind, the PS2 and Cube version are being developed outside of Red Storm (or at least a different part of Red Storm). Red Storm is making the X-Box and PC versions.

I would much rather have my PC version in the same group as the X-box one rather than the PS2 and Cube one. Besides, GR1 was made with the X-box in mind from the beginning. Its obvious, just look at the awful user interface. GR2 better have drop down menus for map and kit selection!!!!

Aye aye Nino, anyone who has played GR online with ZA would know that he is one of the most hardcore guys around :thumbsup: Just a lil drunk sometimes :P:whistle:

1. Will the pc version have an "Fdisk" option?

2. Did you find playing any form of GR on a television a tad shoddy?

3. (proper question) - are the breifings more detailed than in gr1 .. IE more descript, do you have more navigation of map intel than just an ariel picture to look at?

4. What revision number came up on menu page, ive heard due to problems they may or may not release patch 1.6 ......

Oh sorry, question 4 I got mixed up with another game .... (cough) ;)
