  1. Hey there, I finished the campaign on elite but lost my saves, so I'd like to start from scrath. For now I've been doing multiplayer (quite successfully: rifleman lvl 24, dkr 2.23), but yes, we could play the campaign any time this or next week. Would be great if we found another two players to form a human only team. I was thinking about posting a my timezone co-op request on the ubisoft GRFS forum. We can always try Guerilla as well. I am curious how it would go. Feel free to add me as an 'uplay' friend. I don't do steam. Multiplayer is quite fun if you get into it, btw. The bugs are still overwhelming at times, but apart this can be a very fun multiplayer game.
  2. I am up for it too. uplay nick: darkauthority. feel free to add me. eu gmt+2/cest
  3. Hey there, since multi isn't what was expected, is anybody interested in going through the campaing in coop mode? I am in Europe (GMT+2/CEST). I'd like to play this weekend. Ideally, we could start tomorrow afternoon (it's Friday). Let's build a proper team of 4 and go through the whole game (or at least a few missions) for several hours in a row. Anyone for that? I don't do steam. My uplay nickname is DarkAuthority. Looking forward to playing with you. Please reply in this thread if anybody's interested. Thanks!
  4. Well, I will buy the game. The DRM in place remains discouraging, yet there's buying and ignoring it or getting upset and not buying what would mean not playing as well (especially online). So that's the dilemma. I'd rather buy, be able to play and bit*h about the protection rather than not buy and still bit*h both about the protection and myself being unable to play... so there's that.
  5. GRO is just a dynamic shooter. It's based on simple tactics and differences between character classes. In other words: yet another online shooter. I played last 2 beta editions and it's just some random shooter only labeled as "Ghost Recon" to bolster mass interest.
  6. That's right. Isn't this a bit strange especially if we recall all the comments re PC piracy and hence GRO being free and all?
  7. And... pre-ordered. This is the very first game I ever pre-ordered. To be perfectly honest, I joined this forum for the sake of finding a team of reasonable GRFS players to form a coherent team this spring. I truly hope this will come true.
  8. Frequencies? Huh? Every single part in your computer has its serial number which can be read easily enough. There are tons of applications letting you check these, e.g. HWiNFO, if you want to look into this. The DRM system will very prolly store and watch your parts' numbers for changes. That's it. CPUs and motherboards will be watched for sure. RAM is probable, especially as increasingly more people invest in expensive high quality dies. I doubt disks will be watched at all. GPUs won't be for sure. We shall see how this goes. In fact this doesn't look as scary as it might appear in the beginning, although of course the best would be to have a completely DRM free game. How often does one change his/her CPU and the motherboard in the main gaming rig? Once or twice in two years?
  9. Hey Zeealex, not bad at all. How about this one minus the soldier (that is, the logo on digital camo only) in 1920x1080? Thanks in advance.
  10. They should publish a list of parts that will be tracked. What about RAM and disks and so on? Anyhow, this is bulls*it, as said. Thanks gr.net for staying watchful.
  11. The point is this: Ubisoft, make a game that's good enough and people will buy it anyway, regardless of piracy, scene groups, bittorrent etc. The Witcher 2 turned out to be awesome enough that pretty much every person excited about it bought the game apart from the fact its publisher released a DRM free version along with boxed, copy protected regular releases. It is not the overzealous overwatch and bigotry in the gaming industry that will prevent piracy. It is quality and proper customer care than encourage people to buy games. There is so many people who fail to understand this, regardless if we are talking Ubisoft, SOPA or anything else out there.
  12. Those guys must be quite paranoid about piracy. Firstly bulls*it comments how GR:O is supposed to be for PC gamers because of piracy and now this. I can imagine their CEOs waking up in the middle of the night screaming. I wonder if they wet their beds too. Quite discouraging, let's face it. Plus it's completely useless. Scene groups will crack the thing sooner or later. Hell, if there is a proper crack dealing with this, I will crack my legit, already pre-ordered copy as well. In your face, Ubisoft. Otherwise what will I be supposed to do buying a new laptop in which everything's new? Buy another copy of the game? I don't think so
  13. GRFS for PC can be pre-ordered from amazon.co.uk. I think I'll end up buying the version as well. Localised amazons throughout Europe tend to offer only localised versions accordingly to a country they service. This kinda sucks.
  14. Hmmm... Again, IGN lists GRFS as a PC game. What are the actual chances they will/will not release the thing for PC? To me it looks like it's on its way.
