shakealeg1212
if you had to put ghost recon in a time capsule and you had to pick *1* mod to go with it, which one would you choose? id most likely choose heroes unleashed. Blame
well, Heroes Unleashed is pretty big and I'd consider it multiple mods put into one, so I'd pick some other campaign type mod.
Delink
None. Prefer the game how it was out of the box. Even before the 1.4 patch that changed the distance of hand grenades and modified the rpg reticules.
Rocky
None. Prefer the game how it was out of the box. Even before the 1.4 patch that changed the distance of hand grenades and modified the rpg reticules. Wow, you need to try more mods! Are you forgetting the custom campaigns that added new interactive features to missions?
Delink
I was never a MOD guy. Granted I have downloaded many of them now just so I am able to join modded servers... but I feel the mods have made it nearly impossible for new players to get into any kind of multiplayer action, because they have to have mods in order to join most servers. Campaign is/was fun but I played this game for years competitively and it was always Last Man Standing. I don't mind the mods and some of the maps are cool... but I still prefer the game how it was out of the box. Again even before the last official patch. I'll tell you the mod I dislike is DA49. I don't mind the mods that simply add maps/weapons/gametypes... but modifying the accuracy / reticule of the weapons is lame. I don't play COD for a reason.. I love this game for its realism and that mod made you capable of spraying people across the map while running full speed... Don't mind all the other mods. Some of the gametypes are kinda cool and modified spawn points... but if I had to choose I'd say no mods whatsoever... I still would love to see a dedicated server up 24/7 with no mods. twcrash
man there are so many and all of them are good. i can't say one kills them all completely. I love Canadian Forces, Centcom,YOTM GRPA Frostbite man you can go down the list. Them add a nice mappack with the mod and you have an all new game (Navy Seals 2.0 +12 weeks as an example) And then there's the monster known as Heroes Unleashed. Even tho the Chicken launcher was always a favorite Edited June 24, 2014 by twcrash
shakealeg1212
I chose heroes unleashed since it's basically a compilation of all the great mods but doesn't deviate from the original ghost recon that I know and love.
twcrash
As much as HU gives you it isn't the same as playing someones mod. Year Of The Monkey as an example is more than just skins and maps. It is all about Atmosphere. It drops you into Vietnam in the 60's. There's no NVG's, The sounds are incredable and you really feel you are there. Same with War Of Infamy, CENTCOM ect they al;l have things that make you feel you are part of the story. So In my opinion Play the mods the way they were meant to. Or you will miss out on some great stuff.
MrMoon
P2 is my best mod. Only campaign mod Ive played through more then twice. You can see I based my mission style off of those in P2 with the collectable, interactive objects etc.
Giampi
Since you are asking YOUR! Favorite mod I would say Armenia SCARed. Streinger did an impressive job with weapons, Cobaka with maps and models and Janie42 stressed the game high and low to spot the bugs I made in the scripting of the missions as the script I used was really complex.
