WhiteKnight77
Well, today kicks off the new Sprint Cup season at Daytona with the Daytona 500 and so far, it has been interesting. NASCAR reversed some past changes and allows for a bigger restrictor plate and bump drafting. Speeds have increased and the racing appears to be better. Other changes are that the drivers will police themselves. They can settle differences amongst themselves now. Brian France and Ryan Pemberton have both stated that racing is a contact sport and it will return to being such. They are also going back to using the rear spoiler instead of the rear wing at Martinsville. It also appears that they will be repaving Daytona after today's race, once they can finish it. They are currently under the second red flag condition due to the track coming apart. The last time the track was paved was back in 1978. I think it's time.
