  1. I just bought this video card: XFX Radeon RX 580. It appears the new video drivers do not work with my old year 2002 Ghost Recon, Island Thunder. I am getting this error code whenever I try to launch the Ghost Recon game: "The procedure entry point MinidumpWriteDump could not be located in the dynamic link library dbghelp.dll" This game worked on my Windows 7 64-bit using the same computer hardware. The only thing that was changed was the video card. I made sure I installed my Windows operating system without any video drivers so I could get a fresh cloned installation without any old video drivers giving me problems. Anyone else experiencing this with newer hardware?
  2. What happened to the Ghost Recon I modification downloads? A lot of the links I click on just lead to a dead end. There is no data. What happened? Yes, I still cannot believe I still occasionally play this game even after twelve years.
  3. I like a lot of the work on this. It looks very good. I found one bug that I want to report. The doors in Mission 3 of Desert Siege have windows. You cannot shoot thru the window on the door. I would recommend the creator re-doing or removing the texture door file and make it opaque again so you cannot see thru the door.
  4. I am downloading this now. Cannot wait to try this out.
  5. Hello everyone! I'm looking for different actor files for women and children dressed in normal clothes. I am making a modification that will involve a lot of civilians walking down the streets but there are no decent female or children actor files in default Ghost Recon files. I know some actor files have been made for women in the past, but the women are dressed extreme in style and I am looking for normal attire. Any guidance would be appreciated.
  6. I would advise you to get the Centcom modification for Ghost Recon. The weapons and kit options are better than the original game settings. You can download it here: http://www.ghostrecon.net/files2/index.php?act=view&id=538 Be sure you also download the patches for Centcom as well.
  7. I added some more pictures from a recent mission: http://s87.photobucket.com/albums/k133/Stopping_Power/?action=view&current=Terrorist.jpg http://s87.photobucket.com/albums/k133/Stopping_Power/?action=view&current=AlleyScreenshot.jpg
  8. This is an amazing story. Our troops go in harms way to keep us safe from tyrants and thugs. Thanks for posting this inspiring account.
  9. I just did most of the weapon settings, scripted about five of the missions and did beta testing for Centcom. Those who really deserve credit are those who modeled and textured the weapons and also did the new maps. I know doing modeling and textures takes a lot of work. I am presently working on scripting another two missions if you would be interested in Beta testing them for me. I already know what I want with a solid state disk, but I am waiting for the price to come down. 220 megabyte per second read speeds would definitely boost my processing power. The Phenom II Six-Core is quite the beast. My Phenom II Quad-Core power is quite satisfying to me.
  10. The pictures everyone posted so far have been great! I was on the team that designed Centcom. I love most of the missions and weapon models and textures for Centcom. But I went in changed the weapon settings in my own version of Centcom. The stopping power of carbines, pistols and rifles are good, but I felt the aim time was just too fast. My version of Centcom I slowed down aim time and gave enemies even more accuracy. My skill level just got too good for the enemy accuracy in Centcom and I wanted more of a challenge. I see you like to build custom computers Zeealice. What are your present system specifications? Here are mine: Processor: AMD Phenom II 940 Quad-Core Deneb (3.0 gigahertz) Motherboard Version: GIGABYTE GA-M78SM-S2H SOCKET AM2+ Video card: Asus ATI Radeon HD4670 1 gigabyte 128-bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 Random Access Memory: 2 gigabytes of PC2-6400 Super Talent Hard Drives: 232 gigabyte Seagate Barracuda Model ST3250310AS and 74.5 gigabyte Western Digital WD800JB-00ETA0 Power Supply: OCZ StealthXStream OCZ600SXS 600 Watt Operating Systems: Linux Ubuntu 9.04 32-bit and Windows Vista Basic 32-bit For my next upgrade I am looking for a good solid state drive.
  11. Nice pictures ZeeAlice. What other modifications are you using besides your custom mod?
  12. This is a thread I figured I would start for people to post pictures of Ghost Recon 1. Here is a picture of a sniper with a Special Purpose Rifle in 5.56 x 45 caliber. The modification is Centcom: http://s87.photobucket.com/albums/k133/Stopping_Power/?action=view&current=Sniper.jpg
  13. Something like this was released. Download the "Centcom" modification. They put iron sights, and real weapon reticules into Ghost Recon 1. If you download the modification, be sure you also download the patches for Centcom as well.
  14. Do you have any desire to sell your installation disc of Windows Vista?
  15. My biggest grip about Windows Vista is they dropped support for DOS based programs and the FAT32 file system. I won't be buying another Windows Operating System disc as long as I can avoid it. Microsoft wants too much for their products. I got fortunate and found a copy of Windows Vista 32-bit for $70. Over $70 is just a rip off. I doubt I am going to need more than 3.25 gigabytes of RAM for quite some time so I can just stay with Windows Vista for hopefully another six years.
