Rocky
EA's C&C4 forums are filling up with unhappy punters unable to play their brand new game. Is it just me, or is this a shockingly familiar scene? Customers unable to play a new game Example from 11 pages of complaints. playing the game solo is a bit painful, unless you have a perfectly stable connection, which I frankly do not have. what happens regularly is this: connection loss, experience loss, reload the last saved game, lose time and patience.I like to be able to play smooth in solo even with an unstable connection. I would really appreciate a fix in that direction. I bolded part of it. Is that too much to ask, really? For an industry that has grown to massive status, with BAFTA awards and enormous budgets, it is frankly disgraceful the big players such as Ubisoft and Electronic Arts cannot put out titles that just "work". We've become used to the infamous launch day patch, but to me things have gone too far. The industry needs to take a good long hard look at itself, and there should be some system of accountability for situations like this. WhiteKnight77
As long as gamers keep buying the garbage publishers foist on us, we will never see such actions by said publishers. That is the sad part of it.

WhiteKnight77
Jeff Green, formerly of Computer Gaming World which became Games For Windows Magazine and now editor in chief at EA had this to say: F' all this noise. I'm going back to Civ 4. A singleplayer strategy game that--zounds!--I can actually play offline. and this: LOL-wow. My frustration w/C&C4's online scheme led me to Dawn of War 2. With THIS game, I'm forced to log into GFW Live just to play SP. Pretty bad when employees bag on the very company they work for.
