Hammer
Thanks for posting that Wombat, A lot of people don't realise that the UK forces were involved in the Korean war. They think it was just an American war fought by American troops. Its not even given much coverage in history at school, or at least not when I was in school. They just taught about the 1st and 2nd world wars.
wombat50
My pleasure Hammer. I was stationed in South Korea in 71-72 and made a trip to Gloster Hill.
Kurtz
Sixteen UN member nations contributed to the defense of South Korea, including 26,000 Canadians. The most notable Canadian engagements were at Kapyong and Hill 355. A Canadian pilot with the USAF was the first Commonwealth pilot to shoot down a Mig fighter. We never forget the sacrifice. Do you mean that you were deployed in Korea? Never thought I would find something related to Korea in this forum.
