  6. I'm a madman. Basically a 9-round burst grenade launcher except the grenades are OGR's best attempt at flashbangs. Here's how I did it: Made the HU P226 invisible to use as weapon model Made a separate projectile file for the multiflash. Set explosion visual to normal frag because lag, also gave it an initial velocity of 20 (m/s I believe) to simulate throwing it Gave it a silent firing sound that is actually in the effects file (had some audio glitches before I did this) Will cause issues if you switch guns before you fired all 9 shots. Useful in SP for getting into the room and having more time to observe, but far riskier than the standard flashbangs due to how much more the enemies move. In a COOP setting, shooting it, then rushing in with the team while the rest are fired should result in the assault team having more time to engage hostiles before the last flashbang goes off and the enemies start shooting again (have around 2 seconds with standard flash, 9 bang will provide around 5 seconds).

    Too Close

    First, the good news: they are non-life threatening injuries. Second, the Bad News: two people shot, Monday around 4:30PM, about a kilometre west of my home. To add insult to injury (hah!) this was the third shooting in the city today. The first two were late Sunday night/early Monday. Boo.
  9. It’s 2019. I played this game day 1 on Xbox with my new Xbox Live account that I was a beta tester for. This game changed my life and opened my eyes to what was possible with online gaming. Hundreds of hours between this game and all of its expansions. Series fell for me with GRAW and only picked up with Wildlands. Just showing some love, hope this finds another OG GR console fan. My gamertag back in the day was Camaroguy579. Now you can get me on Xbox Live as ISOTaco.

  16. Sounds good then. I'll probably update the SP Ghosts to have maybe a Ghost/Delta kit selection so there's more to pick from. The JSOC specialists will end up having something completely custom (make use of most of the new weapons that'll be introduced, also try to minimize the weapons used that have major hand placement issues that all the Blood Oil models suffer from).
  17. The original GR had this game mechanic where you could jump into any squad member’s persona and handle that position. In addition, you could position each AI individually with tactical directives (go there, then go here, fav this way, be recon, etc) These game mechanics made the AI much more intelligent than they really were (at the time there was no such thing as deep learning and arguably the current AI is dumber). But the whole process of ‘inhabiting’ different players gave a sense of ‘tacticality’ and allowed you to think of different scenarios that could be played out while in game. For example you could start out as the sniper, playing recon and the long game, switch to assault for CQB, and even become that machine gunner (who always seemed to get lost in the weeds if he was left on his own too long). The current squad mates are no match for the AI that the enemy possess but if I had greater granularity in controlling their behavior, they could become a real asset. Imagine being able to set up a kill zone with your squad and then herding or baiting the enemy into it. And why don’t I have a dog yet? I would never go into battle without a dog who could sniff out trails, scent out the enemy or alert me to danger with his spidey tingle. Sound unrealistic? Then you’ve never had a dog.

  21. I like the smaller mod size Jack. Friends and I play allot of co-op so we lean towards missions. I'm not much at making original missions but I have converted allot of Migryder, 9MS and Alpha Squad missions to work with what we have activated, mostly P2 for several months. For character skins, anything you do would work for me.
  22. So who do you guys want to see for SP? I currently have this setup with the upgraded Ghosts (UCP/BDU mix) with the standard Ghost kits and have the specialists the JSOC Task Force guys with combined Delta/SEAL kit selection. Also pics.

  26. So in my last few posts, I've been teasing a new mod project I've been working on. It's a CENTCOM/Heroes Unleashed addon that is a spiritual successor to Violence of Action. Since I used a lot of assets from HU and the mod size started increasing significantly, I decided to go back and make something that is requires HU since I see a lot of people have it. The overall file size should be a lot smaller (the dev version is at 452 MB as of this post). Overall, you can expect a lot of features from VoA to return and be updated. I still have a lot I want to do with it before I release something, but please let me know what you'd like to see.
