Still here...

March 2014 baby! Still at GRNET!

Remember when GRNET had a clan!? Then it changed it's name to TE (Tactical Elite I think)? That was bad-ass. We rocked some Alpha Squad tournaments, hiding in bushes while AI Russians walked a meter passed us because somehow they couldn't see our computer legs sticking out. Something about Jack Stone riding a boat...

New Location and Assorted Madness I had a few blogs; differing enough to lead me to separate them. No more. I have one, now, and anything I can think of now has a home.

It's a different technology that any other I operated, but the very common WordPress tech behind it.  It's at Any Luck  at the moment. The hosting is a thank you from a...

3AM---what am I doing up this early?

Posted by Cpl Ledanek in Cpl Ledanek's Blog, 22 September 2007 - - - - - - · 702 views

Ok, ever since my wife started doing 12-hrs shift, I find myself, free from her reign of watching celebrity shows and food network channel---sorry Rachel Ray, hasn't been the same since you left me for another man.

So it's 3AM again, and I'm once again lurking the forums here and BFS...trying to catch SnowFella's early release on...

Moving on..

Well, what's new? Been single (yet again) for at least a month now.. For once it doesn't involve constant pain - I actually feel pretty good.

Buying a new PC helped.. Finally I'm able to play high-end games again! Although I spend most of my gaming time on World of Warcraft (Undead Rogue FTW) and Titan Quest.. And I'm completely hooked...

Life, death and religion

As a preface, I was born and raised a Catholic, but I have not been a practicing Catholic for many years.  There are many doctrines of this faith I don't believe in, but that isn't what this post is about.

On Sunday, I was working one of my many jobs.  It was business as usual.  The work was the same, the coworkers were the same, etc.  Go home...

Game? What game?

Posted by Hatchetforce in Hatchetforce's Blog, 10 February 2007 - - - - - - · 670 views

There seems to be something of a buzz around the board lately...and the internet in certain places concerning the possibility that Blackfoot Studios is wickedly up to no good. Well, it's true. At least that is what I read.

Getting a game into production often occurs like overnight success in Hollywood used to occur...after years of hard work and...

Flight Simulator X

Posted by DeUcEsWiLd in DeUcEsWiLd's Blog, 01 November 2006 - - - - - - · 662 views

I treated myself to a new genre of PC game this weekend with my purchase of Microsoft's Flight Simulator X and a Saitek X52 throttle and joystick combo.  I'm really liking it so far.  Having never been a flight simmer before, it is a bit complex to get used to...all the details needed to do it correctly...but hey it's tons of fun!

Lack of Manners and Holiday Shopping

What is it with after Thangsgiving Day sales at area stores. I do not know about where you live, but I am sure it is the same, people waiting in long lines hours before the store opens. OK, no problem, people wait in line days or even months to get tickets to a concert or a movie ( ). Once the stores open, people make a mad dash inside to get the...

The year is 2008, and the world teeters on the brink of war. Radical ultranationalists have seized power in Moscow. Their goal, the reestablishment of the old Soviet empire. Ukraine, Belarus, Khazakhstan - one by one the nearby independent republics slip back into the Russian orbit. Russian tanks sit in the Caucasus mountains and the Baltic forests,...

Need a Job?

Now's the best time to get your foot into the door in the game industry. With the advent of next-gen consoles, developers are needing more and more staff as the technology takes the next leap forward. It's amazing actually. Friends of mine who have gone to GDC (Game Developer's Conference) usually see booths from game companies set up so that...
