nyleken
Â Looks like Wildlands 2.0, with a lot of community requested features making it in! Very excited about the injuries system, too!
Blame
Too futuristic with this drone crap, I hope the pvp supports 16vs16 like in GRAW2. They should've brought back cloaking from FS/Phantoms.
nyleken
I've been hearing that there are no AI teammates this time around. Very odd decision.
Blame
4vs4 pvp until they talk more about pvp in august..what a joke, did they learn anything from Wildlands?

Rocky
Two weird things, only 4x4 for PvP, and no solo AI. That aside, wow, this looks awesome! Carry dead bodies and team mates? CHECK! Ghost v Ghost storyline? CHECK! Jungle maps? CHECK! Huge play area? CHECK! New kill moves? CHECK! Snow? CHECK! Ghost Recon limp back? CHECK! New mud camo? CHECK!  There was something else that had been asked for over and over that's included but I forgot already - there's too much to get excited about here...!
nyleken
Really impressed by the improvements to the player animations, especially in regards to the cover system. Also, is it just me or is the female Ghost noticeably more buff than the women of Wildlands?
Evilducky
I'm actually ok with the no friendly AI thing. I run solo most of the time now as it is. I get why they want to do that too. The feeling of being truly helpless, out numbered, out gunned and out matched then to try and stay alive. They probably have it story wise that your team mates die in the helo crash. Who knows. A few things I hope for: - Flashlights. I want this as a weapon attachment. - The gear you wear matters. If you don't have NVG's on, you don't night vision. If you don't pack a drone, you get no drone. - Good weapon customization - Good character customization. Let us carry only one primary, pick a drone and only let us change at the camp thing (don't remember what its called) - Ammo is magazine based and not number based. you pick the number of mags you carry. - this is something I don't think they will do, but I want choices and failures to matter. Kill a target, it takes days in game for them to "replace" that target before you can try again to capture him. They run away, their new location is guarded heavier than it was before and the enemies are more alert. Patrols don't have the attention span of gold fish. The enemies to notice that they are missing people after awhile. <--- any of this last one is probably a long shot but I can hope! I'm excited to see more at E3
nyleken
I'm wondering whether the playerbase's reaction to the AI squadmates in Wildlands influenced their decision to axe them completely from Breakpoint. A Ghost Recon game where the Ghost Lead is a lone wolf due to circumstance is definitely an interesting concept. My biggest problem with this idea is that Ubisoft is still emphasizing the coop aspect of the game with the four-man Ghost team on the box cover and the gameplay reveal involving said team raiding a drone lab. The entire narrative is based on the premise that Nomad has lost his greatest weapon (the team), but everything else Ubisoft has shown serves to reinforce the usual GR concept of working as a team. My guess? They had experimented with squad AI during development but could never implement it in a way that plays nice with the new systems they developed for the game, like serious injuries. We also have to consider the fact that it's being developed for current-gen consoles, which are underpowered CPU-wise. Evilducky
Thats probably a pretty good guess on why they axed the AI. Either that or they are using some division formulas here since thats their power house right now.
AlexKimov
"The year 20XX and the world teeters on the brink of the Great Hipster war...", looks so plastic and unrealistic, i can even touch it through my plastic 21" screen. ;)
Aranha
I believe that Ubi has made much-anticipated updates to the game, and even though it has this more factitious aspect, it is justifiable since all action will take place on an island where a high-tech product factory has been implemented. Ubi has heard the community was also very good, and shows that she is attentive to what the consumer (mainly the GR franchise) wants. Purchase right at launch!

Exactly...the "reveal" with Nomad being chased was interesting..then the gameplay was business as usual....hell for a few seconds I thought that not only did we have a squad still but that soul switching had returned too......majority of the gameplay footage emphasized co-op and working with others, so wheres the isolation and desperation?...why have all those available vehicles if nobody is there to man the guns? Its going to have to be a wait and see approach...maybe the NPCs become more important, more involved, and compensate for the missing squad? perhaps that explains the people waiting by the buggy? There is no AI team in Breakpoint.
Evilducky
What if your AI team mates are just replaced with drones? Since this one is a high focus on them, I have a feeling we will see some specialized drones as an upgrade. Scout drone, send out one or 3 to scout areas. Attack drone, place these drones around and will defend or attack an area. Healing drones, stays close by and will revive you if you go down. There is a ton of possibility here, so I wouldn't be jumping off the cliff with the rest of the knee jerk reactions that are on the main forums just yet. I was just about to visit the official forums and see what the response is. But if I see one more "waiting for Ubi downgrade" comment like youtube I'm likely to explode. How people can say that after Wildlands won awards for it's graphics, and the internet is full of amazing photomode shots, geez.
5timechamp
I hate the increased focus on "futuristic tech"Â but im not trying to overreact.... the bots may be contained to very specific scenarios.... though it could be the opposite as well where as u get closer to the end the game becomes artificially tougher by introducing bullet sponge drone enemies... its wait and see for now Im not anti future tech or claim its not ghost recon ( I love future soldier)..but at the moment at least to me...in whatever little rat runs around in my head this feels a little too removed from what Ghost Recon is.. Evilducky
Uhh the specific scenario is that the 'Wolves' took over the main island where J. Skell makes all his drone? I mean that is a pretty specific scenario if you ask me
Lightspeed
I better get on and finish the GRW campaign 😂
