Some of you might remember, but back in 2017 I decided to do something different with my my annual Ghost Recon campaign play-through. One, I decided to record it and two, I decided to play it differently by using the same soldiers throughout the whole campaign. No quick saves and a KIA is permanent. The only soldiers I could introduce were any unlocked specialist. My last video was in March 2017, where I finished the Desert Siege campaign. Now after all this time, I started playing again, this time I'm tackling Island Thunder! My previous entries: Ghost Recon Desert Siege I just finished Mission 01, and already I have a KIA. Uh oh. unwritt3n Posted January 13, 2019 Author Share Posted January 13, 2019 Here we go: GHOST PLATOON (From the start) -Alpha squad- Wayne Hill - DEMO Ed Long - SNIPER -Bravo squad- Omar Guerrero - RIFLEMAN Jorge Martinez - DEMO No quick saves or loads will be used. MISSION 01 – WATCHFUL YEOMAN OBJECTIVES 1. Seize Plantation Grounds 2. Secure First Package 3. Secure Second Package X. No Team Casualties OVERVIEW So back to it after almost a year. Mission was going well at the start, but unfortunatly the AI controlled Omar was hit and did not return fire as we opened up on two tangos just after retrieving package #2. Bit of a shame. This mission is tense and quite difficult, the fog makes it hard to see enemies and you can be taken out from quite a distance. I did have to use the AT to clear some rooms, as sometimes these require split-second reactions when clearing normally. I seem to always lose teammates in the first mission. Hopefully things get better from here... You play online at all? We do co-op and are trying to find people who still love this great old game. Just hard to find people still playing the original. Man, it'd be awesome to do this all over again in coop. Once you are KIA, you're out!
