Wachter's Attempts at Skinning

Testing continues.

Modifications and adjustments of original texture:

  • Ball cap that was under the helmet made invisible
  • Left leg M4 magazine pouches made invisible
  • Black sleeves added under the coat
  • Glove and shoe options added
  • Paraclete RAV switched to an Eagle Maritime CIRAS
  • Front M4 magazine pouches switched to open top pouches
  • Face changed to a simpler balaclava with dual comm wires, grabbed various faces from CENTCOM and 1990s Delta Force (faces look a little weird due to the head model meant for a full face balaclava)

Plans

  • Eagle Maritime CIRAS: khaki, olive drab, Multicam
  • Coat and Pants: solid color variants only
  • NVGs: got a couple NVG attachments I want to try and get working. Monocular (probably a PVS-14) and binocular (looks like a PVS-15)
  • Ball Cap: may have some that bring the ball cap back since I do have a reference for ball cap under helmet

Started messing with recolors of tiger stripe with some gradients, colors based on the different variations of Multicam (normal, arid, tropic, and alpine).

Testing some guys supposed to represent a JSOC Task Force. Camouflaged Maritime CIRAS vests over plain clothes. 3 clothing variations with 3 camo settings for the vests (Multicam, AOR 1 and 2, and AOR Universal) for a total of 9 variants per environment (winter will likely be 8, 2 clothing variations and 4 camo patterns).

hi jack, i love your works! btw can we have some combat shirt version from gen1 AC multicam to gen2 also AOR1 and AOR2. and woodland combat shirt gen3. would love to see them as we dont have this version yet. with long sleeve and short version maybe. Thanks for all your works jack!

I don't think I'm going to go the combat shirt route, at least not with these models. I have to work with the shapes of the models and how the textures are laid out. With that said, I do have some stuff with Multicam, AOR 1, AOR 2, AOR Universal, DPM woodland and desert, Flecktarn, and Tropentarn in the works.

This is all absolutely beautiful work, Jack! I‘m inspired, and may need to „borrow“ some stuff for HU in the future. Hope this falls under our „Sharing is Caring“ policy?🙂

Just noticed that none of the characters blink. Thought it might be a file name problem, but there are no blink textures at all. 🤔

That's one of the issues with the Blood Oil faces: no blink textures. Though you can go and grab the blink portion from either CENTCOM or 1990s Delta mods.
