Jack Wachter
Experimentation has resulted after someone helped me with gear selection and pictures. Ferro Concepts Slickster Plate + Slickster Molle Rear Plate Pocket + a few other things to make the texture work. Spoiler
Jack Wachter
With some photoshop magic to combine elements from different skins, got something in the works here. Soft armor vest with plate inserts and a chest rig on top. Combines elements from the following: MBSS vest front panel used for higher front portion of the chest rig Chest rig from the Special Forces sniper w/out backpack PACA (I think) soft armor from one of the MBSS models for the lower portion of the soft armor Armored vest from Delta Force models Tactical vest from the VBSS sniper to cover the back (Delta Force vest has some chest rig straps that I don't want). Could be the "plate pocket" Spoiler 1

Thanks for the support, but those are already outdated (I didn't like how that chest rig appears anyway, too big on the sides without an easy way for me to remove some material and not make it look jank). It's amazing how a simple solution was sitting in front of me the entire time: take the CIRAS vest on the SEAL in UCP and just make it a tiny bit smaller. Jack Wachter
Experimenting some more. Transferred my Releasable Assault Vest (RAV) work from the Blood Oil skins and got it working for the CENTCOM skins (mostly). What's annoying is the slightly different alignment of the various sections on the various skins. VBSS with some plate carriers. The models with the black tactical vests use a black RAV and the 3 models with the MBSS are using a recolored CIRAS. Spoiler And some initial experimentation with applying camouflage to the CIRAS. Spoiler EDIT: something a little bit more fun. CQB suit pant legs made with blue denim material to look like jeans while retaining all the utility. Also got the shirt to have a solid color portion. Jack Wachter
Operator Grim (the artist who is helping me with my mod work by providing some artwork, some of which is used for a couple of the main menu backgrounds on the current version of Violence of Action) is working on a new Ghost patch that I'm looking to incorporate on some skins. Here's an early version with some color variations. Spoiler

I was going to leave an oftopic comment concerning the droped links in the threads. Most no longer work. Some the shared discord options you listed here. Don't display the thumbnails. At least on a mobile device. Maybe the resolution is the problem. The images are there. Just require the site to be visited to view. Hi Sorry for the trouble - but I am not sure I understand, so I can fix... "I get the space limitations. Beside the point." - what space limitation are you referring to? "droped links in the threads. Most no longer work." This forum has decades of content, links will go down - welcome to the internet. We can't control what happens to other websites. If the links you are referring to are point to this site though - I can take a look - please post a couple of links you were trying to use and I'll take a look "The images are there. Just require the site to be visited to view." I am not sure what this refers to - can you expand? Thanks. I think you are trying to attach large mod files to forums posts. Forum uploads are generally image files - if you want to share your mod files we have two mod download servers - just get the file to me and I can upload it for you. Jack Wachter
Not the post I expected on this thread oof. Most of my images that I post here are hosted on my discord server since it's easy for me to post them there and copy the links to here. This allows me to post a ton of images since I'm not uploading them directly to this site. Do you notice how many images I've posted on this thread? It's a ton. Loading times suck. The numerous spoiler tags are to make sure the page doesn't expand over a large period of time and mess up your reading. Not sure how the site handles image loading before the spoiler tag is opened. Rocky
Loading times suck because the images are hosted elsewhere - if you upload them here it has two benefits - quick loading and also when (and they will!) they disappear off wherever you host them (discord), then they disappear from here, leaving a messy thread and no image history. Better to upload them here and they will be here forever 🐵 I do not think there is lazy loading on these forums, so although its a nice idea using the spoiler tag, I do not think it saves any bandwidth. Jack Wachter
Sure some of my posts would reach the space limit. Is it space per post? Got to post high quality stuff. Am also lazy and the discord method is fast. Test images for space requirements below. Spoiler
Rocky
I want this to be the best experience for you uploading images I do not see how discord can be any faster than this though...? You can either simply drag an image from your PC into the post, or click choose files to browse to them on your HD... Also, do you get a message saying what limit you have reached, I can increase this if you can detail... Great screenshots by the way. Jack Wachter
I post on discord anyway, plus I don't upload everything. I basically do the image selection in that step then it's just copying links. Does have some minor annoyances though, the image uploading is pretty cool. Will play with it some. Nothing about space being said atm. Looks like most of my posts should be fine on the limit. I'll let you know if I run into issues (unless my laziness takes over). Thanks for helping me become more of an intellectual by teaching me something new.

Jack Wachter
Decided to revisit the models from @shakealeg1212's High Speed skin mod. Testing out how the model works with various components (some provided by @ApexMods, others from DTD No Easy Day and Project Novo). I like the low profile of the model but the lower torso shape means I have to fill up the torso with things so the sharp edges are less jarring. So I got the bottom belt where it needs to be to place some form of vest on it. Also nice that this model doesn't have much on it (the helmet is an attachment), so I can add things to get different aesthetics. Going to see if I can get a good low profile vest to use for basic armor since the model doesn't allow a bunch of things on the vest itself. SKIP
Maritime ghosts looks very cool Jack, i think they could be coolest without the skull patch on the left arm, but if you like keep it.
Jack Wachter
They're placeholder for now, so probably going to replace them later. Also important for some other models that I'm covering up the sleeve pocket patches with them, so that's 3 of the same patch. The SEAL ACU guy with CIRAS vest is one of my favorites. Got several variants. Also haven't done the gear on the vest in Multicam yet. @Rockysomething happened to my 9 something MB limit and now it's 3.82 MB . Maybe I've been throttled for being too awesome uploading all the things on this thread now. So now for Discord images. Oof.
