Weapon modding, not modeling

Recommended Posts

zip included

Just following up on a thread from someone else so I am using this one for reference

This is just a Combat Model edition I am currently using for most of the mods I do.

Instructions are very simple

for steam users I made the armor a little larger and the files are in a mod form since you might have issues with checks

place into the mods/ folder

has to be active in game with the maximum priority

in the options menu must be on the bottom of the list, otherwise will not replace the default settings.

save the current CmbtModl file, which is an XML file located in mods/origmiss/equip folder granted you know where the ghost recon location is.

and you can simply place the new CmbtModl file in the same folder

have the file in the folder or replace the older one

CmbtModl.zip

steam combat model (2).zip

I was leery of checking your links out until now. You have added some details and pics lately so appreciate that.

No problem.

I don't usually mod the game anyway. I do however like to play the mods others make for release. I have a full time job or had a full time job. So most of the time just spend some time with the editor. Other than that the missions and skinning is normally to much for my schedule.

In any case thanks for looking in. Not that many visitors anyway. I noticed most of the resources and searches lead to the more recent Wildlands and the Division pages anyway.

Thanks

If you wanting to place models in game you need to run max5.1 and probably on a virtual machine. Also 32bit version of photoshop I think.

but ther ewas a guy making a .rsb plugin for CC.

Thanks in any case. It's just that I lost the modeling tutorial if I ever had one.

This thread is mostly random

I added a small file for the Heroes Unleashed mod. The mod is large and I do not know how it works but the files included if placed in the correct folder would replace the original files so back up if you are not making changes. Only 2 files are modified and affect several kits that contain the weapons.

This is just a simplified way of modding some game dynamics and differences.

The files are in mod format, but will alter AT4 behavior along with an extra rifleman weapon that is packaged for Specialists however you will get them in the regular tier. This, as far as I know, does allow you to alter the Campaign progression with just an additional arsenal.

Daedalean, your mod(s) would benefit greatly from a little more information / documentation. What exactly is it that they do? From what I understand, you have added weapons and a new combat model?

Well. The last ones explode. I don't recommend using any of them.

They're just files. I honestly need some help. I don't really want to work on campaign mods without adding model extras. And don't really want to use other moders work. I have several backups of resources. Not sure how all of them work. It would honestly just end up like a revisited mod.

I might get around to it.

Right now what I am really missing are the key advise tutorials for the editor tool.

And I don't really go to deep into the content here. Since the company is currently broken up I don't have any reference to go by as far as what is allowed or not. I just make this. My lips are tight as far as how it works. I don't want to take responsibility from the devs as bad as they did their work. By now I do have the other post for basic game battle models and points. Out of the respect for the team.
