Small taste of things to come.

Recommended Posts

Hey...just passing by to say I really enjoyed the map/mission.

Shame on me, havent been able to finished the mission so far......

Had to restart few times playin the mission but then launch a coop game with AI backups...:)

to switch and see other class and weapons...

Some weapons are VERY powerful...!

Nice mission anyway.

The chrs, weapons and map design...everything looks fantastic really..

Cool ambience and music..:)

Only one down note: I was very disapointed to see Russians military smoking cigs and acting relax at the gates entrance...

tsstss...:)

Cheers...

Had to rearm several times....(coolstuff)

Felt anxious and nervous all the way thru..:)

Was very careful to put my demoman away from action:)

very intense..

Very impressive and neat work..everythings works out great on the map...

Really enjoyed it..

Thanks!

getting an error that crashes the game. I loaded this into the mods folder. Activated it as the only mod. When starting the mission, it allows me to set up the teams (even reminds me to pack demo and rocket launchers). The next step crashes. On a windows 7 pc, the last sound loop continues even after the ghost recon process is terminated. Reboot is required. On wineskin on a mac, the crash is more graceful-it tells me to check wineskin.

I reinitialized the game, set z-buffer to 16 bits, ran the bare GR and got that to work.
Added Desert siege, ran that.
Added island thunder ran that
Added Thanatos and NOW IT RUNS.

Hey bro! I have an idea ... I'm not sure if the settings that you mention below are possible: To make the most similar to the concept of FS game night vision filter instead of being green should be changed to blue to well simulate the magnetic vision original GRFS and also change the original proximity sensor on a throwing game object to imitate the sonic sensor GRFS! Tell me if possible and do you think?

Hey soundwave I had previously tried to change the night vision blue so it would look like the magnetic vision (actually it was one of the first things I tried to change in gr) I'm almost positive its hardcoded green :(

Also don't think you can make the sensor a throwable object :/

Ah twcrash if you're having trouble with them pesky bodarks you can usually get the jump on them if you post a team up in the control tower ;)

Thanks for the feed back guys :)

The guys Bodark the defeat precisely this! on my second try! It was difficult but I managed to complete the mission after three attempts in difficulty elite... I'm good at playing this :rambo::gun:

It's a shame about magnetic vision and sensor. But that's the point! "trial and error" to let you know ... I take another idea occurred to me ... This is the drone: I thought if it was possible that the drone attack was one of the specialists, vehicle drone transform the actor! within the actor.tx there is a line that is used to change the scale model of the actor/ghost:

<ScaleX> 1.000000 </ ScaleX>
<ScaleY> 1.000000 </ ScaleY>
<Scalez> 1.000000 </ Scalez>

I've noticed that if I minimize the scale the actor becomes slower in its movement and if the increase becomes faster! then everything would consist in reducing the scale of the actor a bit so that it is appropriate to scale the drone but not overly so it is very slow and change the model of the actor to the drone (if possible) and equip a machine gun with grenade launcher (but model these must be invisible because the drone model already has these) and also increase the strength of this to the shooting (although that will not be at all a problem as reducing the scale at AI will prove harder hit on the target). That's my idea with the drone.

MrMoon ... I understand that this project takes a long time but I wanted to ask if you had already another mission already developed to test it. Thanks and sorry for my bad English. ;)

Hi soundwave :)

Having the drone as an actor would definitely not work :/

Haha I did use the scale actor thing in kriegsmaschine to make the big hunter zombies and the valkyrie demon thing :o

No for the drone I'm using the talos gun robots from hk assault special mod as seen in the previous pics.

They will operate more or less like any other vehicle in ghost recon and will not be directly controllable by the player but will be operated from a fixed location by allied support units who if killed will cause the drone to go offline (same goes for enemy drones)

Id like to make a better more future soldiery UGV but my modeling skills are still very much in the infant stages so its better to just use what I have around and to be fair these talos swords are probably more realistic.

Also there will be drones of the flying variety in the form of mavs. (Micro air vehicles)

I'm hoping to get permission from thales (again) to make use of the kick ass micro air vehicle models he made for his dea mod.

These again will act pretty much like a helicopter and will be deployed by allied operators and fly over the area revealing on the map sentries, vehicles, objectives, high value targets etc.

Again they don't look very future soldiery but they do look more realistic.

Ive already got a bunch of resources for the next mission completed but as I'm no longer working on ghost recon related projects full time I can't say when Ill next have a burst of activity and churn out another mission for you might be a month might be several months sorry dude :(

The mission you just played had been sat on my hd for months already and people like wombat had already play tested the hell out of it, all Ive done in the last month or so is sort out things like the new ghosts and the new menu etc as well as further polish to the mission with my awful voice acting etc.

That took a while, and scripting a really detailed mission from scratch can take months and a lot of beta testing which Ill be sure to offer you ;)

Hey I'm not promising any thing Ill work on this thing on and off all the time but maybe you will get a new mission every couple of months or so ;)

Do not worry comrade! I understand completely and I'll be on the lookout for what. Anyway I am very grateful and hope for the time you need for final development, I'll cross my fingers ( :fingersx:) that do not have difficulties making cancel will the project (as happened with the guys from Project Novo) and I wish you well! Greetings...

OK I love the mission so far! the M110 sounds pretty good and the voice acting is better than some professional games I own. I did find a arrant texture that needs to be removed:

Hopefully this shows where it is. It looks like a panel you can only see in one direction.

I need to get some comrades to help me get through it tho. Sp is gonna be a HUGE challenge lol.

Great work!!!

Hey crash yeah I'm aware of the floating danger pannel haha see it every time I sneak up on that first tlar.

Problem is Ive been unable to get rid of it thus far, am thinking of hanging a lantern on it in some humorous way.

Lol glad you liked the voice acting I swear I can do a better southern accent! but whenever I actually have to read something aloud my mother accent creeps in.

Will try and add some new weapons for the ghosts in the next version and maybe those new flash bangs we have to play with, hopefully make things easier :)

Thanks wombat I was worried it would be way to cheesey, it makes me laugh listening back to it hearing me struggle with the pronunciation of the Russian names while trying to maintain the accent XD.

Think I will have the commander of the operation be an sas colonel so I don't have to put an accent on for the entire breifing lol.

Yeah the mission plays out quite differently from the last time you had a go originally I had stuck a few mi8 to blow up and a shmel uav that took off while you're touring the base in the truck but kept getting a ctd presumably from vehicle overload.

I think the weapon sounds you made for me really boost the atmosphere and immersion :)

Hi! MrMoon, I would like to ask you a personal favor ... is if you change the textures Might this model ghost:

post-26202-0-84097300-1418948073_thumb.p

... to make it look as close as possible to 30K GRFS or at least MARPAT digital camouflage type, including ghost mask and digital googles. Would be very grateful if I were to make this great favor, is that this is my favorite of all skin and would like to have it GRFS style. The model you can get the mod Blood Oil (http://www.ghostrecon.net/files2/index.php?act=view&id=1156) do not worry about asking permission to its developers as only it is a favor to me and not to steal credit and display it online at some other mod. I for one would not have any problem with the time you take in developing it I'm willing to wait as long as you need to consider (if you decide to do) and would be very grateful indeed. Many thanks and sorry my bad English.

OK, on vacation starting next week so I figured i'd end it with a bang! Anyone interested it's EST but I can always change it to accommodate other time zones. Looking forward to completing this damn mission lol. Let me know. I will be available prior to that to play as well (Did I mention I am on vacation?) Figure we could use Steam Comms and test their new game broadcasting service to get some good footage.

New t80 camo and a demonstration of the camo the ravensrock militia will be wearing.

Not entirely happy with it, will likely do it over at some point.

thannew1.jpg

The man is wearing camo based off of patterns seen worn by eastern Ukrainian rebels.

Hope to assemble a whole horde of these guys.

And also my new truck reskin. Not a Russian vehicle but meh it looks cool I think lol.

thannew2.jpg

The camo the naval infantry are wearing is based off of this experimental fractal camo seen here.
