pz3
After a few questions and a few weeks I decided to make this an official announcement. I am currently starting up a mod group called Tactical Mods. This mod group is for the die hard Tactical/Realism Gamer that wants the most authentic combat experience possible. This game/mod team will not be title specific but will be utilizing the CryEngine3 SDK as a basis for content creation. This mod group is what I like to call a "Coop" mod group. Meaning we allow other mod teams to join our team as well. The only requirement is all created content must meet the standards of Cryengine 3 quality and members must submit some content to the Tactical Mods content archive. As assets are built and more members join this content archive will be used to create either free to play games or game modifications for multiple titles. If you are interested in working with this team visit our crydev page. HERE If you would like to leave some ideas about this mod group let me hear your suggestions. Thanks for reading Edited March 22, 2013 by pz3
wombat50
My abilities don't go any further then GR so I don't feel qualified to participate. If testers or opinions are wanted that is all I can offer. Visited the site and it is very well organized. Looks great. Good luck pz. teppe
Looks nice PZ3, but keep in mind that all CryEngine 3 assets in the editor (trees, vegetation, etc.) are not to be used if creating games. With other words, it's part of the CE 3 license deal: "Everything by yourself". I also would recommend you to use the so called 'Game Design Documents' if you sometime decides to take over the massive task of creating a game or mod with your team. Which platform will your programmers use to code in? I'll recommend Lua for menus and such, while C++ more for gameplay, but only my two cents. If you could get a very experienced programmer experienced in both coding and scaleform in Flash and Gfx, that would be pretty awesome! I can always help out if you need answers on things about game development, good luck! Edited April 5, 2013 by teppe
pz3
Im building assets slowly. I might use cryteks assets as place holders temporarily. Like the humvees below. Im hoping to find a good coder to build everything from scratch.
teppe
If you're in need of a coder, then it will be a good idea to post recruitment threads on many sites, and you could eventually use this as requirements and responsibilities, that I've just created for this purpose: CryEngine 3 Lead Coder Responsibilities: - As a CE 3 Lead Coder at our team, you will be in charge of our Coding team (consisting of UI flash artists, eventually more programmers experienced in other areas, such as an AI programmer or a LUA programmer, etc.) - You will be responsible for the creation of player-mechanics (animations assigned on keys, etc.) and <insert here>. Skills - Experienced with C++/LUA - Experienced with CE 3 Source Code - Skilled with the creation of player mechanics - Must be able to commit time into this project This was just something I made quick, I have a large recruitment document, and will post soon on various sites. - Experienced with SVN - Experienced with FTP - Skilled with Network Can be added as well, all things a programmer really would need to know about.
