Pave Low
Major facepalms all round at Crytek and for all genuine fans an almost complete Dev build of PC version of Crysis 2 has appeared on certain shady internet sites :wall: ...but even more Unbelievably the Multiplayer Master Key file (DRM which handles the online activation/authentication) has also been leaked too :wall: the only "good" news is that the stolen game was an incomplete DirectX 9 internal build and is prone to crashing and Crytek will now be frantically changing the DRM codes Too early to say what this will mean for the game... is possible might cause the original release date to be shelved while they try to fix this mess.. unless they can mange to pull a rabbit from the hat and recover from this will be a Major embarrassment for Crytek, sure hope they find the source of this leak and how on earth they managed to get this, had to be a huge failure in security http://ve3d.ign.com/articles/news/59050/Crysis-2-PC-Multiplayer-Master-Key-Leaks-39-Days-Prior-To-Release Oh and I too am still going to wait and buy the genuine real game looser pirates can enjoy their crappy knock-off "version"
Brettzies
Saw that article about an hour ago. Looks like everything has been removed, article, pics, video, comments. Interesting tactic...kind of like how during a televised football game they will never show the fan that runs on to the field so as not to encourage others to try it. Edit: Looks like the article is back up minus the pics and video. Edited February 12, 2011 by Brettzies
Pave Low
Yeah, video's have been pulled from a lot of respectable sites, either at request of Crytek/EA or just out of respect for not wanting to spoil players initial enjoyment of the game. Crytek released a statement last night: Crytek has been alerted that an early incomplete, unfinished build of Crysis 2 has appeared on Torrent sites. Crytek and EA are deeply disappointed by the news. We encourage fans to support the game and the development team by waiting and purchasing the final, polished game on March 22. Crysis 2 is still in development and promises to be the ultimate action blockbuster as the series’ signature Nanosuit lets you be the weapon as you defend NYC from an alien invasion. Piracy continues to damage the PC packaged goods market and the PC development community.

=warcloud=
It must of taken ages to download 9+ gb of unfinished game data, it looks and sounds underwhelming imho. It would not suprise me if Crysis 2 PC version is delayed after this fiasco.

Evilducky
Article @ Eurogamer reporting this mess may force Crysis 3 into being a console only release. LINK I doubt that. A message from the big boss himself. As you all have heard by now, an early, incomplete build of Crysis 2 has been leaked online. While we are deeply disappointed by these events, we are all completely overwhelmed by the support we have received from you, our community. =warcloud=
I wonder how the data was leaked and who or what persons were involved?. I heard the leaked developer build has the whole single player, the complete multiplayer c/w masterkey (whatever that is?) and the CryEngine 3 editor and xbox360 and ps3 data/code? and dx9-10-11?. Oh dear.
