24hr benching? software

Recommended Posts

We use Quicktech pro. It runs from dos and fits on a floppy. You can also indvidually test each component and it will tell you which memory stick is bad and which chip and such.

It's not cheap but it is 100% reliable. We don't let any pc's that fail this go out the door and we have never have any failures returned after delivery.

Note neither of these tests do fans. Pop into your bios to testf fans and temperature. In the bios, the processor will run wide open (no power manangement stepping it down so that is why bios temps are higher then what is seen in windows)

If you want a free memory diagnostic, MS also makes one...

Quicktech pro that i listed though doesn't just do memory. It will do video (in dos) serial, parallel, Atapi (cdrom) Hard drives (destructive and non) system board, processor, sound and more. About 15 tests at least in each category and you can put it on a 24 hour loop, which is what we do to stress test them.
