What Movie Are You Watching?

Recommended Posts

Rescue Dawn.

I recommend this Vietnam movie to every member of these forums.

A fictionalized account of personal bravery and comradeship in the early days of the Viet Nam war. The story follows the experiences of Lt. Dieter Dengler whose plane was shot down over Laos and taken prisoner by the North Vietnamese. In a story that should not be classified as either pro or anti war, it explores the tragedies of war for all involved.

Based on a true account.

Amazon Book.

Factual Website Account..

Probably best to enjoy the film first then come back and check those links.

Yeah I saw that movie Rocky. I loved it. Unfortunately I just got done watching Return of the Living Dead Necropolis. The funniest parts are when they're riding their dirtbikes cause there's always a new rock song.

I watched Escape From Alcatraz this morning. Yes, I have seen it on TV before, but never the theatrical release nor all of it. The ladies here may want to check it out, or at least the first 30 minutes of it. ;)

Rewatched Best In Show this afternoon while having some lunch. Next to This Is Spinal Tap, has to be the funniest mockumentary ever made.

Watched "Perfume: The Story of a Murderer" last night.

Kept me on the tip of my seat start to finish. Good film.

Watched O, Brother, Where Art Thou? a few nights ago. Meh. I usually enjoy the Coen movies, even the mostly mediocre The Big Lebowski, but this one I just didn't get.

Now that I have all three Bourne movies, I'll be cracking into those in the next day or so. Ultimatum first. :D

Saw AvP:Requiem today, two hours of my life that I'll never get back. How can two great franchies put together be so bad. How does one screw that up?!?

Eastern Promises and the Kingdom are next. Still have Battlestar Galactica Razor to watch too.

A few days ago, I watched Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film For Theaters. If you're not a fan, don't bother, but since I am, I can say the intro to the movie had me laughing so hard I thought I was going to lose it.

I also made a point of rewatching The Bourne Ultimatum now that I have all the movies on DVD.

Courtesy my DVR, The Tailor of Panama today, based on the John le Carré novel. Not a bad film really, and you get an eyeful of Jamie Lee Curtis's rack, which despite her age, is holding up quite well. Also, keep an eye out for a very young Daniel Radcliffe as Geoffrey Rush's son. Starring Pierce Brosnan, the film was a flier I decided to record merely for the presence of Rush, but I was pleasantly surprised.

Queued up in the DVR is The Cooler, with Alec Baldwin (whom I despise as a person but can't fault as an actor) and William H. Macy. I'll take a peek at that after all of tomorrow's bowl games maybe.

Also have an exquisitely keen interest in Cloverfield. I don't see many movies in the theater, but I'll make a point of going to this one, as the trailers are blowing my mind! toybox_112806_3.jpg

Oh yeah Kingdom is nice. I understood quite a bit after taking Arabic. I never got around to the special features which is surprising for me cause I always watch commentary and stuff like that. Love learning about how a movie/tv show was madea nd it gives you a chance to get to know the actors and all the other staff. But just recently I saw Bourne Ultimatum(nice), The Brothers Solomon(stupid but hilarious) and Superbad(also stupid but hilarious) Just got Halloween unrated for Christmas and my friend also got me one of those cheesy king fu movies called Shogun Warrior Assassins 3. Definately not for kids. Gotta be the most whacked out king fu movie ever. But it is entertaining. Bout to whip out Tears of the Sun cause there's been so much talk about that in the GR and BFS forums lately. Me and my friend wanna see AVP:R just to make fun of it. I'm just waiting for the new Rambo cause it's like Schwarzenegger coming back for T3. Not to mention it looks like they turned Soldier of Fortune into a movie with all the gore.

yea, pretty darn dissapointing....AVP-R Just watch the trailer and you've seen it..

watched Shoot Em Up early this morn, jeez no kidding...what a goof ball movie..but hey its the ultimo action flick cause he has firefights while having sex! What more is there?

my neph tells me there is a Sin City II coming this spring...

To heck with Rambo....hey maybe they should bring Ripley back to the future!

Anyway, AVP should have been taking place on that LV - whatever planet like the game, not earth and they should have stuck with the story, better than either movie story line...

No Country For Old Men...classic...

I keep hearing great things about that film, looking forward to seeing it.

American Gangster, hmm, big Ridley Scott fan here, but really quite disapointed in this film. For me there was really nothing new in it, I believe it was up for an oscar though, so maybe I'm out of synch.

Let me know how it is mate.

recently, I watched the ALL American Classic i ripped onto my video Sony Walkman, "Easy rider" with Dennis hopper and Peter Fonda. a true classic

I just picked up the Alien trilogy on DVD today for $20 at Wally World of all places. I started watching the first one and promptly fell asleep. I wish that had happened while I had MASH on, but there were some episodes I had't seen before (5th season).

Haha mig I just watched Shoot Em Up last night and yeah. Probably one of the most unrealistic action movies ever but I still liked it. Had some real good music but I couldn't stand the main bad guy. Ugh. I mean yeah he was twisted but some of his lines just made me ask "Why did they pick this guy?" Also watched Resident Evil Extinction. I hope that wasn't the last one cause I'd be ######. Just cause the way it ended. Had a lot of tense parts though. And the other one I have to finish watching is War with Jason Statham and Jet Li. I fell asleep towards the end cause I was up from two in the morning that day. Also have to finish watching Tears of the Sun. I've seen it before but when I was watching it, the TV went out. Need to get a new one.

On December 23, 2007 - we had the first official Star Wars movie marathon at the house. The kids and I watched Episodes 1 to 6 back to back. It took all day and half the night...but you really understand the story more when you watch it like that. I'd recommend being a diehard SW fan before venturing out on such a quest. :)

Also recommended: Doing the same thing with the Bourne movies. :D

Watched The Osterman Weekend, speaking of Ludlum books turned into movies. A steaming pile, that one was. Wretched action sequences with ridiculous and confusing plotting amount to a waste of two hours, but then again, having read much of Ludlum's material, I shouldn't have been surprised. Too many hard to follow and unlikely plot twists in this one for me, thanks.

Had nothing to do after yesterday's AFC Wildcard game so I caught bits and pieces of Just Friends with Ryan Reynolds. Guy makes me laugh for some reason, but the real reason I watched it was for the delectable Anna Faris. Something about that girl gets my motor runnin'.
