ZJJ's new car

Recommended Posts

After much searching and researching and nail biting, I bit the bullet and bought a new car. I got tired of used cars with their unreliability and expensive repairs. I haven't had a car payment in 10 years, so this decision wasn't easy for me.

Behold, my 2007 Ford Focus in Liquid Grey.

I have been very lucky with buying used cars. Our toyota camry has been awesome. Buying used is a big risk though like you've experienced. Many times you don't know everything about the car you're buying. They have carfax reports, but those are limited as well.

Nice looking car. The focus is good for both budget and fuel efficiency.

Two main things I had to consider since I am a single mom and commute 45 min to work, one way.

Nice Zjj... it's about time ;)

I don't usually like fords but on my honeymoon to Yosimite, we rented a ford focus in San Fransisco. It actually handles really well and has some good pickup to it. (I thought it would be a glorified Escort)

the steering wheel is on the wrong side ..... and one of the pedals is missing!

I had to make concessions in order to have the car in a timely manner. :(

I'm loving the ride, but that color sure shows dirt! I've had it a week and I can tell it is dusty. I guess I need to create a budget item for car washes as I don't have time to do it myself.... unless I have some volunteers from here to wash it for me. :hmm:

I feel your pain. I have a black truck. It Shines up real nice but boy does it show the dirt and dust.

Nice choice ZJJ! Congrats :)

Now you just have to do something about that being single. You deserve a good man :showoff::cowboy::flowers::wub: to wax and wash it for you, to make you delicious dinners, and to rub your shoulders when you moderate forums late at night

All the good men are in Sweden.... and took their mustangs with them. :(

Nice, I like the colour. Dark colours do show the dust and dirt (and scratches), but they look great polished up.

Thanks everyone. It gets the ultimate road test this week when I drive it up the east coast to the Poconos in Pennsylvania.

With all the guys that will be there at the same time maybe I can get one of them to wash and wax it for me. :hmm:
