EricJ
By the end of the week I'll get something done. I figured somebody would take the time, but hey, oh well I'll see about getting it knocked out.
EricJ
Sorry but I've been a bit busy, I'll get cracking on it soon.. But.. the major issue is the "weapon_id=", or the actual number assigned. The major issue is just conflicting, i.e. using the same number. The only time you can get away with it so far, is when you use the same weapon for a secondary slot, like a SCAR L in that slot, or vice versa. You can't use the same number for the same slot, or primary versus primary slot. As far as mod_data.xml, it's the same case. Generally the higher numbers you use, the better off, such as Brettzies mod which used a four digit instead of a two digit sequence. The sb_inventory_data.xml so far... is just for bean counting, in SP and MP, as well as LAN play. Edited July 6, 2007 by EricJ
EricJ
Other things to concern yourself with, are HUDs, or the sights rather. As I found out with Brettzies mod, there are also other HUDs that are brought up with the optics and sights. Naturally you can extract the files, then edit the units/interface/u_hud.xml file. Add the specific HUD items and that should work. Naturally you should put the appropriate files in the units/weapons/u_addons.xml, which is the optics, and defines the animation relative to the weapon. It's just that I was trying to make the existing weapon mods work together. Because there aren't many weapons in either GRAW or GRAW2, combining them would be a nice improvement for the game. And I just started playing GRAW, after the latest patches brought [GR] coop back. Regards.
