movie captures software?

Recommended Posts

I hope I'm posting this in the right forum.....

I'm trying to collect movie clips that involves the actors/actress saying "Happy Birthday."

I'm trying to make a montage for my mum's 60th birthday on Feb 10.

The only software I have is Movie Maker...the more simple the easier for me.

Is there a software that captures clips from movies that I'm watching on pc?

I know how to screen capture, but would be nice to have Morgan Freeman or Tom Cruise to say happy birthday to dear o' mum.

:D

thanks

What a great idea! Would be a hit on Youtube too. Imtoo have software that lets you capture from a vob file (DVD) by stating a start time and duration, tat would be perfect for you - if it works with avi files too...?

Its very easy... :P

Just load FRAPS...

Under ''MOVIES'' Tab:

1 choose a Hotkey for recording

2 Check box ''record sound''

Minimised .

Load your movie w WMP or DivX then hit ur hotkey to record and stop. :rocky:

Edit: If u dont have retail..just download it..its like 2mb .

Ok then you drag drop the filesdirectly in WMM...one by one..and edit as u want..very easy.

peace,

HEY IT WORKS!

Except I can't find a movie that has the celebrities saying "Happy Birthday." :(

Towards the end credit, I added the scene from Mr & Mrs Smith, of Vince Vaughn holding a shotgun, going ballistic after getting startled by mom. Whatdahell, its a funny clip.

Can you guys help finding me scence with celebreties saying Happy Birthday or a funny clip about mom?

Thanks

The demo version is limited w/ 30secs of recording..per ''take''.

U may check ur space avalaible on your disk...fraps files are very heavy..as u should know by now.

I remember having like 30G of recording from game...10secs of recording ingame is like 80mbs.

Itll stay like this until u edit them of course.

If its not recording maybe thats the prob.

If not..

Just Reinstall. :rocky:

ok, finished the video. I burned it on Nero 5.5 to a VCD format due to its small size, 10 minutes long.

Kinda long for a vid clips/photo montage huh? My wife thinks so. <_<

Video quality is ok, not great, sound is tolerable.

Just wondering what are the possibilities if I have it on DVD-R.

Its a 54mb of Windows Media.

Any free software that can covert this file to a Higher quality format playable on Home DVD ?

(to be burn on DVD-R)
